## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Working Nomads Scraper: Remote Jobs

Extract remote job postings from [Working Nomads](https://www.workingnomads.com) through its own public feed. No login, no browser, no API key: title, company, category, tags, location and full description, read straight from the source.

### What you can do with it

- **Filter by category or keyword.** `category` matches Working Nomads' own categories (for example `Development`); `keyword` matches title, tags and company name.
- **Monitor newly posted remote jobs.** The feed is Working Nomads' own current listing, newest first.
- **Group by skill.** `tags` is a clean array (for example `["react", "node"]`), ready to aggregate.
- **Feed a job alert or aggregator.** A stable `id` and canonical `url` per posting for deduplication across runs.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `category` | Keep only this exact category, for example `Development`. Empty means every category. |
| `keyword` | Keep only postings whose title, tags or company name contain this word, for example `react`. Empty means every posting. |
| `maxItems` | The run stops once this many jobs are saved (default 50). |
| `includeDescriptions` | Adds the full job description as plain text. |

Example input:

```json
{
  "category": "Development",
  "maxItems": 50,
  "includeDescriptions": true
}
```

### Output

One record per posting:

```json
{
  "id": "1939844",
  "url": "https://www.workingnomads.com/job/go/1939844/",
  "title": "Language specialist",
  "companyName": "iMerit Technology",
  "category": "Administration",
  "tags": [],
  "location": "Global",
  "publishedAt": "2026-10-14T00:32:03-04:00",
  "description": "Remote Language Projects – Native & Fluent Speakers..."
}
```

Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

### Why this one

- **No login, no browser, no proxy.** Working Nomads' own feed is a plain public endpoint, no scraping tricks involved.
- **Tags come back as a clean array**, not a string to re-parse.
- **Category and keyword filtering built in**, even though Working Nomads' own feed ignores query parameters; this Actor applies the filter itself.

### Good to know

- Working Nomads' own feed returns its current set of exposed postings in a single call; there is no further pagination to page through.
- Every e-mail address and phone-like number found in `description` is replaced by `[removed]`, including any address that names an individual recruiter. The dataset carries no reachable contact information.
- This is an unofficial tool, not affiliated with Working Nomads. Check the site's terms and the data protection rules that apply to your use.

### FAQ

**Does it need a browser or a proxy?**\
No. The Actor reads Working Nomads' own public feed directly.

**Does it work without any filter?**\
Yes, for a productive default run across every currently listed posting.

**Can I get the data in Excel or Google Sheets?**\
Yes. Export the dataset as CSV, Excel or JSON from the Apify console, or connect the Apify Google Sheets integration.
