## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Hotels Scraper: Prices, Ratings & Reviews

Get hotels from Google Hotels for any city: **nightly price and total stay price for your dates**, star class, Google rating, review count and star breakdown, address, phone, website, coordinates, photos and a link to the Google Hotels page with every booking offer.

No browser, no login. It reads Google's own hotel search pages over plain HTTP, so runs are fast and cheap.

### What you get

### More than one page of results

Google shows about 18 hotels per search. For each location this actor runs up to 16 searches (5-star, 4-star, 3-star, 2-star, resorts, motels, boutique, luxury, budget, family, pet friendly, pool, airport, downtown, inns) and removes duplicates. A big city gives 150-250 unique hotels. Set **Max hotels per location** to what you need; the actor stops searching as soon as it has enough.

### Input

```json
{
  "locations": ["Las Vegas", "Paris, France", "Austin, TX"],
  "checkIn": "2026-12-10",
  "checkOut": "2026-12-12",
  "maxHotelsPerLocation": 100,
  "currency": "USD"
}
```

- **locations**: a city, area or neighborhood per line. "hotels in Miami Beach" works too.
- **checkIn / checkOut**: optional. Without dates you get Google's default (1 night, soon). Prices are for 2 adults and 1 room.
- **currency**, **country**, **language**: the Google market to price in.

### Use cases

- Hotel rate monitoring for revenue managers: schedule a daily run for your comp set's city and dates.
- Travel and event planning: compare total stay prices across a city for specific dates.
- Lead lists: hotel names, phones, websites and coordinates for any city.
- Market research: star mix, rating spread and price levels by city.

### Pricing

Pay per hotel row. No start fee, proxy included. Locations with no hotels cost nothing.

### Run summary

The `OUTPUT` record has, for each location, the hotels found, queries run and failed queries, plus request stats.

### Limits

- Prices are the lowest offer Google shows for 2 adults, 1 room. Per-site offers (Booking.com, Expedia, the hotel itself) are on the `googleHotelsUrl` page.
- Vacation rentals sometimes appear in Google's hotel results; they have no star class.

# Actor input Schema

## `locations` (type: `array`):

One city, area or neighborhood per line, e.g. 'Las Vegas', 'Paris, France', 'Shibuya Tokyo'. 'hotels in ...' also works.

## `checkIn` (type: `string`):

Optional. Leave empty for Google's default (tonight-ish, 1 night). Prices are for 2 adults, 1 room.

## `checkOut` (type: `string`):

Optional. Defaults to 1 night after check-in. Max 30 nights.

## `maxHotelsPerLocation` (type: `integer`):

Up to 300. Each location runs up to 16 Google searches (by star class, resorts, motels, boutique and more) and dedupes them, so big cities give 150-250 hotels.

## `currency` (type: `string`):

3-letter code: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY...

## `country` (type: `string`):

2-letter country code for the Google market (affects prices and partners).

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language code for hotel names and labels.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many Google searches run at once. 4 is a good default.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify datacenter proxy is the default and is included in the price.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "locations": [
    "Las Vegas"
  ],
  "maxHotelsPerLocation": 100,
  "currency": "USD",
  "country": "us",
  "language": "en",
  "maxConcurrency": 4,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One row per hotel.

## `runSummary` (type: `string`):

Per location: hotels found, queries run, failures. Request stats.
