## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Public Tenders (TED) – Search & Daily Alerts

Find EU public procurement opportunities on **TED (Tenders Electronic Daily)**, the official tender database of the European Union, filtered by **country, CPV code, keyword and deadline**. Get clean, ready-to-use results with the title in your language, the buyer, the deadline and days left, the estimated value and direct links to the notice and PDF.

Built for **bid and tender teams, consultants, B2G sales teams and market researchers** who want new government contracts in their inbox instead of searching TED by hand.

### Why this Actor

- **Official TED API**: no scraping, no login, no proxies, no personal data.
- **Only open tenders by default**: notices whose deadline for tenders is today or later.
- **Alert mode**: schedule the Actor daily with *Only new notices* switched on and you receive only what is new since the last run. Connect email, Slack, Google Sheets or a webhook through Apify integrations.
- **Readable output**: the actual tender title (without the country and CPV prefix TED adds), buyer name, days to deadline and estimated value with currency.
- **24 EU languages**: titles and buyer names in your preferred language when TED has them, with English and original-language fallbacks.
- **Fair pricing**: you pay only for notices returned, and you can cap your spend per run.

### Input

| Field | What it does | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Buyer countries | 2- or 3-letter ISO codes of the contracting authority | `NL`, `BE`, `DE` |
| Keywords | Full-text terms; a notice matches if it contains any of them | `software`, `cybersecurity` |
| CPV codes | Codes or prefixes; `72` = all IT services | `72`, `45`, `79410000` |
| Notice types | Contract notices (open calls), award notices (winners), prior information (upcoming) or all | `contract` |
| Published within the last (days) | Look-back window | `7` (use `1` for daily alerts) |

| Only new notices | Skip notices returned in earlier runs with the same filters | `true` for alerts |
| Preferred language | Language for titles and buyer names | `eng`, `nld`, `deu`, `fra` |
| Maximum results | Stop after this many notices | `200` |

### How to set up daily tender alerts

1. Fill in your countries, CPV codes and keywords.
2. Set *Published within the last (days)* to `1` and switch on *Only new notices*.
3. Save the input as a task and add a daily schedule (Apify Console → Schedules).
4. Add an integration (email, Slack, Google Sheets or webhook) that fires when a run succeeds.

### Common CPV divisions

| CPV | Sector |
|---|---|
| 30 | Office and computing machinery |
| 32 | Telecom and networking equipment |
| 45 | Construction work |
| 48 | Software packages and information systems |
| 50 | Repair and maintenance services |
| 71 | Architectural and engineering services |
| 72 | IT services: consulting, development, internet, support |
| 79 | Business services: legal, marketing, consulting, recruitment |
| 80 | Education and training |

### FAQ

**Is this legal to use?** Yes. The Actor reads the official, public TED search API of the Publications Office of the European Union. TED data may be reused under the EU open data policy.

**How fresh is the data?** TED publishes new notices every working day. A daily schedule catches everything.

**Does it include below-threshold national tenders?** No. TED covers tenders above the EU thresholds plus notices that buyers choose to publish on TED. National portals are not included.

**Can AI agents use it?** Yes. Like every Apify Actor it can be called through the Apify API and the Apify MCP server.

**Something missing?** Open an issue on the Issues tab; requests are reviewed weekly.
