## Changelog

### 0.1.33 (2026-10-11)

- A run could save a couple of posts fewer than "Max items" when the same post showed up twice in a group's feed (for example 98 of 100). The run now keeps loading until it has the full number of distinct posts.

### 0.1.32 (2026-10-11)

- "Max items" is now delivered for busy groups. A run used to stop after the group's first page of posts, about 25, whatever number was asked for. It now keeps loading further posts until it has the number you asked for, reaches the end of the group, or reaches posts older than "Only posts newer than" (newest-first sorting only). With other sort orders the date filter still applies, but the run keeps loading posts until one of the other limits is reached.
- Large runs take longer. Facebook hands out about 3 to 5 posts at a time, a few seconds apart, so 100 posts take a few minutes. When a run is close to its time limit, it stops loading and saves the posts it has found.

### 0.1.31 (2026-10-11)

- Runs asking for more posts than fit on a group's first page often returned only about 3 posts from a busy group, with a warning that results may be incomplete. The feed is now asked for again in smaller parts when Facebook does not answer, so these runs return up to about 25 more posts per group. Slow answers are also retried properly instead of failing straight away.
- The post author (user.name) was often the author of the post above it in the feed, about half of the posts in busy groups. It is now read from the post itself, and user.id is filled in.

### 0.1.30 (2026-10-11)

- Posts that mention many people, such as automatic "welcome our new members" posts, were returned with empty text. Their text is now filled in. Posts that are only photos still have empty text.

### 0.1.29 (2026-10-11)

- Comments shown under a post were sometimes returned as extra results: an undated row that repeated the post's id. They are no longer returned as posts, and each post appears once per run. With "Only posts newer than" set, these rows were the posts reported as left out for having no date.

### 0.1.28 (2026-10-11)

- Group links copied from Facebook's Share button (facebook.com/share/g/...) are now accepted and scraped as the group they point to. A share link that does not lead to an open group is named in a warning, and a run where no link leads to a group stops with an error.

### 0.1.27 (2026-10-11)

- Clearer progress message when a group returns no posts on the first try and is tried again.

### 0.1.26 (2026-10-11)

- "Only posts newer than" now understands hours, days, weeks, months and years in long or short form (24 hours, 3d, 2w, 1mo, 1y), "N days ago", "today", "yesterday" and full dates with a time. A value it cannot read now stops the run with a message listing the accepted formats, instead of being ignored.
- While "Only posts newer than" is set, posts that show no publication date are left out, and the log says how many.
- Links that are not Facebook group links (pages, Marketplace items, Facebook's own group feed or discover pages) are now named in a warning. A run where none of the links is a group link stops with an error. Mobile (m.facebook.com), fb.com and links without https:// are accepted for real groups.
- A group that is private or shows no posts, and a group whose results may be incomplete, now get a clear warning naming the group. A group that cannot be loaded is skipped with a plain message.

### 0.1.0

- Initial Facebook group post scraper implementation.
- Supports group URLs, feed sorting, keyword filtering, date cutoff, optional comments, Marketplace listing enrichment, compact output, and monitoring mode.
- Uses group page metadata to run an expanded feed request and improve coverage beyond the initial page payload.
