## Changelog

All notable changes to this Actor are documented here.

### \[Unreleased]

#### Added

- Paste a firm profile URL (e.g. `https://lawyers.findlaw.com/california/san-francisco/<firm>-<id>/`) into Start URLs to get that firm directly, with full details, without searching a listing first.

#### Fixed

- A location that is just a state (e.g. `california`) now expands to every city page in that state, as described; before, it returned no results.
- Each result now carries the practice area and location of the search that found it (`searchLocation` is filled in), also when you run several searches at once.
- A run where FindLaw could not be reached or blocked every request now fails with a clear message instead of ending as a successful run with 0 results.
- Incremental runs no longer report firms as updated when their profile page could not be loaded in that run.
- `contentHash` is now filled in, so "Skip reposts" works.
- Stalled connections time out after 30 seconds instead of hanging, and fewer result pages are fetched in parallel.
- Added the optional `country` input to the input form.
- An incremental run that ends early (nothing to search, cost limit reached, or no results) no longer blocks the next run with the same state key for 30 minutes, and long incremental runs keep their state lock until they finish.
- Every run, including runs that stop early, time out or fail, now reports how many results it saved, why it ended and how long it took, so its status is shown correctly.

### \[0.1.0] — 2026-10-19

Initial release.

#### Added

- Scrape law firm listings from the FindLaw lawyer directory by practice area, state and city: name, phone, website, address, coordinates, rating and review count.
- Optional firm profile details: legal name, description, practice areas, attorneys, awards, offices, payment methods and recent client reviews.
- Paste FindLaw lawyer-listing URLs as start URLs instead of filling in practice area and location.
- Runs stop at your maximum cost per run instead of fetching results that cannot be delivered.
- Optional contact emails: turn on "Find Contact Emails" to get the email addresses published on each firm's own website.
- `rating` is the star rating as FindLaw shows it (e.g. "4.5"); the numeric value is in `ratingValue`.

#### Fixed

- Listing and profile pages load reliably again; runs no longer end with 0 results when FindLaw refuses the first requests.
