## Changelog

All notable changes to this Actor are documented here.

### \[Unreleased] — 2026-10-09

#### Fixed

- fix: a single slow response no longer empties the whole run; each retry now gets its own time limit instead of sharing one that the first slow attempt had already used up.
- fix: a publication slug in `query` (e.g. `towards-data-science`) now returns that publication's articles when no tag of that name has any.
- fix: `descriptionFormat` now works: `text`, `html` or `markdown` keeps only that version of the article body.
- fix: an incremental run that ends early (no results, no searches, or a spent cost limit) no longer blocks the next run with the same state key for 30 minutes.
- fix: detail enrichment fetches each author's or publication's feed once per run instead of once per article, so large runs hit fewer rate limits.
- fix: when every search fails, the log now says so with the reason instead of reporting a plain empty result.
- fix: start URLs that are not Medium tag, author or publication pages now end the run with a clear message instead of a failed run.
- fix: `includeDetails` now upgrades articles from publications, custom-domain publications and `<name>.medium.com` authors to the full article text; before, only `medium.com/@name` articles were upgraded.
- fix: runs no longer come back empty when Medium rate-limits a single address; requests are retried from a fresh address.

### \[0.1.0] — 2026-10-04

Initial release.

#### Added

- feat: Medium article scraper. Collects articles for a tag, an author (`@name`) or a publication, from `query` or pasted `startUrls`. Several searches can run in one pass and are deduplicated.
- Output carries a stable `id` (Medium post id) and a `listingId` key for de-duplicating across runs, plus title, author, publication, tags, publish/update timestamps, excerpt, article text as HTML, plain text and Markdown, lead image, reading time, and emails/links/social profiles found in the article text.
- `includeDetails` upgrades teaser-only records to the full article text where the source provides it.
- Incremental mode, compact output, notifications and connected-app export.

#### Notes

- Each tag, author or publication surface returns only its roughly ten newest articles; pass several searches to collect more.
