## Changelog

All notable changes to Reddit Scraper are documented here.

### 0.1.42 — 2026-10-01

#### Fixed

- Runs with a maximum cost limit no longer end without results when platform usage counts toward the limit.
- When the Max items run option limits a run, the log now says "maximum number of items" instead of "maximum cost".

### 0.1.41 — 2026-09-30

#### Fixed

- Runs with a maximum cost limit are no longer charged above the limit. A run now collects only the results its maximum cost covers, stops there, and says in the log when the limit was what ended it.
- The "Max items" run option is now honoured: a run delivers at most that many results.
- With "Include run metadata" on, the metadata row is added only while the maximum cost still covers it.

### 0.1.1 — 2026-08-16

#### Fixed

- Runs no longer fail with "all attempted targets failed". Reddit began refusing the way this actor fetched pages, so every source came back refused and the run stopped with an error; requests now go out in a way Reddit still answers, with the previous method kept as a fallback.
- A page Reddit answered normally is no longer mistaken for a refusal — the signal used to recognise Reddit's block page now also appears inside ordinary pages.

### 0.1.0 — 2026-05-30

Initial release.

- Scrape Reddit posts with full, nested comment threads, user profiles, and community pages.
- Subreddit feeds and keyword search with hot / top / new / relevance sorting; subreddit feeds also support time windows from the past hour through all-time.
- AI-ready output: every body emitted as text, HTML, and Markdown.
- Outbound link and social-handle extraction (`extractedUrls`, `socialProfiles`).
- Controls for comment depth, comments-per-post, collapsed-comment expansion, NSFW inclusion, and a post date limit.
- Output options: `descriptionFormat` (text/html/markdown/all) and `excludeEmptyFields`.
- Pay-per-event pricing: $0.005 per run start + $0.00125 per saved record.
