## Changelog

All notable changes to this Actor are documented here.

### \[0.1.0] — 2026-10-22

Initial release.

#### Added

- Scrape records from viator.com.
- Paste a viator destination page URL (e.g. `https://www.viator.com/Paris/d479-ttd`) in `startUrls` instead of typing the place.
- Category mode: paste a viator category page URL (e.g. `https://www.viator.com/Paris-tours/Day-Trips/d479-g5-c15` or `.../d479-tag11889`) in `startUrls` or the query field to get only the tours in that category, with full paging and incremental tracking.

#### Fixed

- Searches now attempt to clear an additional temporary site check instead of skipping every affected connection.
- Group and category page URLs (e.g. `https://www.viator.com/Paris-tours/Day-Trips/d479-g5-c15`) now deliver their tours: when viator puts a check in front of the page, the run clears it and reads the page instead of stopping with "could not be read".
- Runs no longer fail when viator temporarily refuses a connection: the request is retried automatically.
- A run that hits a burst of refused connections now recovers on its next request instead of failing every remaining one.
- A connection that drops or times out mid-request is retried on a fresh connection instead of failing the search.
- Incremental runs now keep paging past tours you already have until they find the number of new or changed tours you asked for, instead of re-reading the same first results every time.
- Incremental runs now report a tour as changed when its rating, review count, duration, cancellation policy, languages or tour format changes.
- With "Emit expired" on, tours that left the catalogue are now delivered as EXPIRED rows, including when a destination becomes empty.
- A run where viator could not be read now fails with a clear message instead of finishing as "no results"; a partly read run says it is incomplete.
- Back-to-back incremental runs no longer wait 30 minutes for the previous run's lock, and a long run keeps its lock instead of losing it halfway.
- Every row now carries the destination page it was read from, the search it came from and its original position on the page.
- Attraction pages are refused with a clear message instead of silently returning the whole destination.
- An incremental run that loses its claim to a newer run mid-way now stops without delivering or saving anything further, so the same tours are never delivered twice.
- A category group page that viator refuses to open now says so in the run log and tells you to paste its tag link (ending in -tag and a number), which is read directly.
