## Pricing

from $1.75 / 1,000 domains

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Domain Intelligence: WHOIS/RDAP, DNS, SPF/DMARC & SSL

Paste a list of domains (or website URLs, or email addresses) and get one clean row per domain with:

- 📅 **Registration**: created, updated and expiry dates, days until expiry, domain age, registrar, status, nameservers. It uses **RDAP**, the official structured successor of WHOIS, so there's no fragile WHOIS text parsing.
- 🆓 **Availability**: unregistered domains come back as `registered: false`
- 📬 **Email setup**: MX records, **mail provider** (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho, Proofpoint…), SPF and DMARC records with a simple **A–F email security grade**
- 🔒 **SSL certificate**: issuer, expiry date and days left, valid/invalid
- 🌐 **DNS**: IPv4/IPv6 addresses and nameservers

No API key, no proxies, no browser. Just public internet protocols, so runs are fast and cheap.

### Who uses this

- **Sales and lead gen:** find which companies use Google Workspace vs Microsoft 365, or have weak email security (grade D/F). That's a strong opener for IT, MSP and deliverability services.
- **Domain investors and brand teams:** expiry dates, registrars, availability checks in bulk.
- **IT and security teams:** monitor SSL and domain expiry across a portfolio on a schedule.

### Example output

```json
{
  "domain": "apify.com",
  "registered": true,
  "registrar": "Amazon Registrar, Inc.",
  "createdAt": "2009-06-02",
  "expiresAt": "2035-06-02",
  "daysToExpiry": 3131,
  "domainAgeDays": 6365,
  "nameservers": ["ns-1225.awsdns-25.org", "..."],
  "mx": ["aspmx.l.google.com", "..."],
  "mailProvider": "Google Workspace",
  "hasSpf": true,
  "spfAllPolicy": "fail (strict)",
  "hasDmarc": true,
  "dmarcPolicy": "reject",
  "emailSecurityGrade": "A",
  "sslIssuer": "Amazon",
  "sslExpiresAt": "2027-01-16",
  "sslDaysToExpiry": 72,
  "sslValid": true
}
```

**Email security grade:** A = SPF with `-all` + DMARC `reject`; B = DMARC `quarantine` (or `reject` with a soft SPF); C = DMARC `none`; D = SPF only; F = no SPF and no DMARC; `no-mail` = the domain has no MX records.

### Good to know

- Input can be messy: `https://shop.example.co.uk/page`, `www.example.com` and `jane@example.com` are all reduced to the registrable domain, and duplicates are removed.
- **RDAP coverage:** all generic TLDs (.com, .net, .org, .app, .ai…) and most country TLDs (.uk, .fr, .nl, .pl, .ca…). A few registries (for example .de, .io, .eu, .co) don't offer public RDAP yet. For those, `rdapAvailable` is `false` and the registration fields are empty, but DNS, email and SSL are still checked.
- Uncheck checks you don't need to make runs even faster.

### Pricing

Pay per domain checked.

# Actor input Schema

## `domains` (type: `array`):

Domains to check. You can paste plain domains, website URLs or email addresses; each is reduced to its registrable domain (e.g. https://shop.example.co.uk/page → example.co.uk). Duplicates are removed.

## `checks` (type: `array`):

What to look up for each domain.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many domains to check at once.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "domains": [
    "apify.com",
    "bbc.co.uk",
    "wikipedia.org"
  ],
  "checks": [
    "registration",
    "dns",
    "ssl"
  ],
  "maxConcurrency": 10
}
```
