## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

**Weibo Scraper** extracts posts and comments from **Weibo (微博)** without an account or cookies: real-time keyword search, any user's posts and the comments of any post, with reposts, comments, likes, images, video files and publish time. **$3.99 per 1,000 posts or comments, no start fee.**

### What can you scrape?

- 🔍 **Real-time search** — the newest posts for any Chinese or English keyword or hashtag.
- 👤 **Users** — a user's posts, newest first, with repost details, images, video and the province they were posted from.
- 💬 **Comments** — the comments of a post with likes, reply count, commenter followers and location.
- 🔔 **Monitoring mode** — schedule it and get only posts and comments that are new since the last run.

For public-opinion monitoring in China, brand and crisis tracking, media research and sentiment analysis.

### How much does it cost?

| Row | Price |
|---|---|
| **Post** | $0.00399 — $3.99 per 1,000 |

No start fee, no proxy or compute charge on top. Error rows are never billed. **Maximum rows per run** is a hard ceiling on the bill.

### FAQ

#### Do I need a Weibo account?

No. Paste keywords, profile links or post links and run.

#### Which user links work?

Links with the numeric user ID (`weibo.com/u/1669879400` or `weibo.com/1669879400`) or the ID itself. Custom-name links (`weibo.com/rmrb`) are not resolved — open the profile and copy the numeric ID.

#### What time zone are the dates in?

`publishedAt` is converted to UTC (ISO 8601). Search rows also keep `publishedText`, the time as Weibo showed it ("5分钟前", "今天22:50").

#### Is it legal?

The Actor reads public posts only. Names and comments can be personal data under the PIPL and GDPR — have a lawful reason to process them.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Chinese or English: <code>新能源汽车</code>, <code>iPhone</code>. Real-time search: the newest posts first.

## `userUrls` (type: `array`):

Profile link with the numeric ID, or the ID: <code>https://weibo.com/u/1669879400</code>, <code>1669879400</code>. Returns the user's posts, newest first.

## `postUrls` (type: `array`):

Post link or ID: <code>https://weibo.com/1669879400/RnKflnakp</code>, <code>5356020178093109</code>. Returns the post's comments.

## `maxResultsPerInput` (type: `integer`):

Cap for each keyword, user or post: posts per search or user; comments per post.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many rows in the whole run — a hard ceiling on cost.

## `monitoringStoreName` (type: `string`):

Give the run a name (e.g. <code>brand-mentions</code>) and every later run with the same name returns <b>only rows it has not delivered before</b>. Empty = normal run.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "keywords": [
    "新能源汽车"
  ],
  "maxResultsPerInput": 50,
  "maxItems": 10000
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `rows` (type: `string`):

One row per result; error rows explain inputs that could not be read.
