## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## X Search API | EveryInfra

Search X posts using keyword expressions with configurable limits from 1 to 200. This actor returns posts in a single page without cursor pagination. Use it for real-time social listening and trend monitoring on X. Top search only with no Latest guarantee.

### Use Cases

- Keyword search for topic analysis
- Gather sample posts for data labeling

### Input

The actor accepts flat inputs including keyword and optional limit. Optional params object is supported. The action is fixed to search and may be omitted.

```json
{
  "keyword": "open source",
  "limit": 25
}
```

### Parameters

- `keyword`: Keyword expression to search posts on X.

- `limit`: Requested maximum, actual count may be lower; default 25, range 1 to 200.

### Pagination

No cursor or has_more is used. All results are returned in one page per run. The output sets next_cursor and has_more to null. Search may match context beyond literal post text.

### Output

The OUTPUT object contains schema_version, platform, action, has_data, record_count, records, next_cursor, has_more. For this actor, next_cursor and has_more are null. Records include record_id, url, text, posted_at, author_username, author_name, author_url, author_follower_count, like_count, retweet_count, reply_count, view_count. Missing source fields are omitted. No result count guarantee.

Records are one per Apify dataset row. Export via Apify JSON or CSV; OUTPUT is a summary with cursor.

### Pricing

Price is US$0.008 per successful NONEMPTY page, independent of row count. Empty/failed requests result in zero result events. No actor-start or per-row event charge. A paid run requires maximum charge budget >= $0.008 before requesting data. Apify platform charges may apply. One record is stored per dataset row.

### Trial

The first 3 accepted data-request attempts per Apify account are free of result-event charges across all EveryInfra Actors combined, lifetime total with no reset. Invalid input consumes none, accepted empty or failed source attempts consume a trial. After the third trial, a paid Apify plan is required for continued use, with billing at the stated page event price.

### Limitations

The actor searches top posts only without Latest guarantee. No cursor pagination support. May match posts based on context beyond the literal text. Search may match many results depending on the keyword. Limit ranges from 1 to 200.
