## Pricing

from $200.00 / 1,000 completed website intelligence scans

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## AI Website Intelligence Scanner

Analyze a website's AI readiness, crawler policy, API surface, documentation, and machine-readable structure in one combined run — the umbrella product across the AI-IFY Utility Actor portfolio.

### What it analyzes

- AI agent readiness
- API exposure
- AI visibility
- AI crawler policy
- Machine discoverability (e.g. `llms.txt`)
- Structured data
- Developer documentation

Select a subset of modules, or run all seven in one pass. The Actor performs a live scan through Sentinel's Intelligence API for every submitted domain.

### Pricing

**This is a paid, pay-per-event Actor: $0.20 per completed scan.**

Exactly one `website-intelligence-scan` event is charged per run, only after a real result exists (`success` or a useful `partial`). There is no charge for invalid input, a target blocked by the public-network policy, or a run that fails before a result is produced.

### Input

- `domain` (required): a public domain or HTTPS origin to analyze, e.g. `example.com`.
- `modules` (optional): which of the seven modules to include. Defaults to all of them.

Example input:

```json
{
  "domain": "example.com"
}
```

### Output

The default dataset receives one result envelope per domain; `RUN_SUMMARY` in the default key-value store records processing, delivery, billing, and dependency totals.

Representative abbreviated output:

```json
{
  "status": "success",
  "target": {"identifier": "example.com"},
  "result": {
    "domain": "example.com",
    "readiness": {"score": 80, "band": "strong"},
    "apiExposure": {"discovered": true},
    "aiVisibility": {"indexed": true},
    "crawlerPolicy": {"GPTBot": "blocked", "ClaudeBot": "allowed"},
    "machineDiscoverability": {"llmsTxt": true},
    "structuredData": {"schemaTypes": ["Organization"]},
    "documentation": {"found": true}
  }
}
```

`restricted` means API-IFY rejected the target locally before calling Sentinel. `unreachable` means the domain could not be reached. `dependency_unavailable` means the Intelligence API was temporarily unavailable or did not complete within the allotted time.

### How it works

This Actor submits the domain to Sentinel's `POST /v1/intelligence/domain` endpoint and polls the returned request until it completes, then normalizes the combined result. The domain is checked locally against API-IFY's public-network policy before being submitted.

### Limitations

- Public HTTPS domains only; private, loopback, link-local, metadata, reserved, and CGNAT targets are rejected.
- A single run may take noticeably longer than the single-signal Utility Actors, since it waits for a combined multi-module analysis to complete.
- Scan availability depends on Sentinel's Intelligence API.

### Privacy and security

The target domain is sent to Sentinel's live Intelligence API (`/v1/intelligence/domain`) for analysis after local public-network validation. Results are stored in the customer's Apify run dataset and summary store. `VERIFY_API_KEY` is an operator-managed Actor secret — an Intelligence API key sent as a bearer token on every request, the same credential mechanism used by the other Utility Actors, provisioned with whatever scope Sentinel's backend requires for `/v1/intelligence/*`; `VERIFY_BASE_URL` is an operator setting, not an Actor input.

### Support

For a reproducible support request, provide the Apify run ID, result `itemId`, and status. Contact Sentinel Signal Systems through the support link on the Actor page.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "domain": "example.com"
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("bmiller1009/ai-website-intelligence-scanner").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
