## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Apna Jobs India — salary, experience, skills & only-new

Scrape job listings from **Apna.co**, one of India's largest job platforms (blue-collar, grey-collar and
white-collar jobs across 70+ cities), by **job title or category and city**. Every job comes with the **monthly
salary range in INR and as LPA**, **required experience in years**, **seniority**, **skills**, **benefits**, employer,
industry, category and posting/expiry dates. Turn on **"Only new jobs"** and schedule a daily run to receive only
listings added since the previous run.

### Use cases

- **Job alerts**: a daily schedule with "Only new jobs", connected to email, Slack, Telegram or Google Sheets.
- **Recruitment and staffing agencies**: see who is hiring for delivery, sales, telecalling, accounting or tech
  roles, city by city.
- **Salary benchmarking**: published monthly salary ranges by role and city, already numeric.
- **Labour-market research and HR tech**: demand by category, city, experience level and work-from-home.

### Input

```json
{
  "roles": ["data analyst", "accountant", "delivery boy"],
  "cities": ["bengaluru-bangalore", "delhi-ncr", "mumbai-bombay"],
  "minMonthlySalary": 20000,
  "publishedWithinDays": 7,
  "onlyNew": true,
  "maxItems": 200
}
```

- `roles`: job titles or categories as Apna names them ("software engineering", "telecaller bpo",
  "work from home"…). An unknown title is reported in the log; try a broader one.
- `cities`: pick from the list (empty = all of India).
- Expired listings are skipped by default (`includeExpired: false`).

### Output (example)

```json
{
  "id": "856215232",
  "title": "Accountant",
  "company": "Example Pvt Ltd",
  "city": "Surat",
  "address": "Varachha, Surat, Gujarat, India",
  "salaryCurrency": "INR",
  "salaryMin": 25000,
  "salaryMax": 70000,
  "salaryUnit": "MONTH",
  "salaryAnnualMinLpa": 3,
  "salaryAnnualMaxLpa": 8.4,
  "experienceMonths": 24,
  "experienceYears": 2,
  "seniority": "junior",
  "skills": ["tally", "gst", "excel"],
  "benefits": ["pf", "esi"],
  "requiresEnglish": false,
  "workFromHome": false,
  "employmentType": "FULL_TIME",
  "industry": "Accounting / Finance",
  "category": "Accounts",
  "datePosted": "2026-10-29T11:23:20.596Z",
  "validThrough": "2026-11-05",
  "url": "https://apna.co/job/surat/accountant-...",
  "description": "…"
}
```

Seniority, skills and benefits are inferred from the title and description and can be empty when the listing does
not mention them.

### Pricing

Pay per event: you pay per job delivered. Filtered, expired or already-delivered jobs ("only new" mode) are never
charged.

### Fair use

- Uses only Apna's public, server-rendered job pages (allowed by Apna's `robots.txt`), with an honest bot user agent
  and about one request per second.
- Collects job and employer data only — no candidate data, no recruiter phone numbers.
- Not affiliated with or endorsed by Apna.
