## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Fuel Prices Europe — Official Open Data (France, Netherlands)

Live fuel prices for **every petrol station in France**, about 9,800 stations: diesel, E10, SP95, SP98, E85 and LPG. Each station comes with its address, coordinates, services and opening hours. You can also get the **Netherlands' national daily average pump prices**, going back to 2006.

Everything comes straight from **official government open data**, under licences that allow commercial reuse. There's no scraping of comparison sites and no proxies, and a full France run takes a few seconds.

### Use cases

- Find the cheapest diesel or E10 near an address or along a route
- Monitor competitors' prices around your own station
- Feed fleet, logistics or travel-cost tools
- Track price trends by region, or for the Netherlands as a whole

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Countries** | `FR` (every station, live) and/or `NL` (national daily averages) |
| **Fuels** | Only stations selling at least one of `diesel`, `e10`, `sp95`, `sp98`, `e85`, `lpg` |
| **Postcodes** | Postcodes or prefixes: `75` = Paris, `69003` = one postcode |
| **Cities** | City name contains, e.g. `lyon` |
| **Near a point** | `{"latitude": 48.8566, "longitude": 2.3522, "radiusKm": 5}`: stations within the radius, nearest first, with `distanceKm` |
| **Cheapest first** | Sort by the price of the first selected fuel |
| **Motorway stations only** | Only stations on the autoroute network |
| **Max price age** | Skip stations whose latest price is older than N days (default 30; 0 keeps every station, including inactive ones) |
| **Netherlands dates** | `nlFrom` / `nlTo` (default: last 30 days) |

Example: the 20 cheapest E10 stations within 10 km of Lyon.

```json
{
  "countries": ["FR"],
  "fuels": ["e10"],
  "near": { "latitude": 45.764, "longitude": 4.8357, "radiusKm": 10 },
  "cheapestFirst": true,
  "maxStations": 20
}
```

### Output

**France: one row per station** (`type: "station"`)

```json
{
  "stationId": "75013024",
  "address": "114 BD DE L HOPITAL",
  "postcode": "75013",
  "city": "PARIS",
  "department": "75",
  "latitude": 48.835,
  "longitude": 2.358,
  "onMotorway": false,
  "automat24h": false,
  "services": ["Boutique alimentaire", "Lavage automatique", "Wifi"],
  "openingHours": [{ "day": "Lundi", "closed": false, "ranges": ["06:00-22:00"] }],
  "diesel": 2.25, "dieselUpdatedAt": "2026-10-30T00:01:00",
  "e10": 1.99, "e10UpdatedAt": "2026-10-30T00:01:00",
  "sp95": null, "sp98": null, "e85": 0.984, "lpg": null,
  "lastPriceUpdate": "2026-10-30T00:01:00",
  "distanceKm": 2.44,
  "currency": "EUR", "unit": "EUR/litre"
}
```

Prices are in euros per litre, and timestamps are French local time (Europe/Paris). A `null` price means the station doesn't sell that fuel or hasn't reported it.

**Netherlands: one row per day** (`type: "national_average"`)

```json
{ "country": "NL", "date": "2026-10-26", "euro95": 2.313, "diesel": 2.469, "lpg": 0.997 }
```

### Good to know

- French stations report price changes to the government themselves. Most update daily, but some rarely do, so use **Max price age** to leave out stale ones.
- The French feed has no station brand or name, only the address. Each station's `stationId` is stable, so you can match it across runs.
- The Dutch figures are national averages from Statistics Netherlands (CBS), not station prices. They are usually published with a few days' delay.
- More countries are planned as their official data becomes available.

### Pricing

You pay per row returned. Every station in France is about 9,000 rows (with the default 30-day freshness filter), and a month of Dutch averages is about 30 rows.

### Licences and attribution

- **France:** Ministère de l'Économie, prix-carburants.gouv.fr, published under the [Licence Ouverte 2.0](https://www.etalab.gouv.fr/licence-ouverte-open-licence/). Free reuse, including commercial reuse, with attribution.
- **Netherlands:** Statistics Netherlands (CBS), table 80416ENG, published under [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).

Every row includes `source` and `license` fields so you can keep the attribution. This Actor is not affiliated with either government body.
