## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shine Jobs India — experience, salary LPA, skills & only-new

Scrape job listings from **Shine.com**, one of India's established job portals, by **keyword and city**. Each job
comes with the **experience range in years**, **salary in lakh per annum (LPA)** when disclosed, **key skills**,
**industry and department**, seniority, employer, all job locations and posting/expiry dates. Turn on **"Only new
jobs"** and schedule a daily run to receive only listings added since the previous run.

### Use cases

- **Job alerts** for a role and city, sent to email, Slack, Telegram or Google Sheets.
- **Recruiters and staffing firms**: track who is hiring for which skills in Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, NCR…
- **Salary and skills research**: disclosed LPA ranges and key skills by role, experience and city.
- **HR-tech and labour-market dashboards**: daily feeds of new openings by industry and department.

### Input

```json
{
  "queries": ["data analyst", "java developer"],
  "cities": ["bangalore", "pune"],
  "minAnnualSalaryLpa": 6,
  "publishedWithinDays": 7,
  "onlyNew": true,
  "maxItems": 200
}
```

An unknown keyword is reported in the log. Expired listings are skipped by default.

### Output (example)

```json
{
  "id": "19897911",
  "title": "Data Analyst",
  "company": "Example Staffing Pvt Ltd",
  "locations": ["Pune, Maharashtra"],
  "experienceText": "5 to 10 Yrs",
  "experienceMinYears": 5,
  "experienceMaxYears": 10,
  "seniority": "mid",
  "salaryText": "7 - 26 Lakh/Yr",
  "salaryMin": 700000,
  "salaryMax": 2600000,
  "salaryPeriod": "year",
  "salaryAnnualMinLpa": 7,
  "salaryAnnualMaxLpa": 26,
  "keySkills": ["Python", "SQL", "Machine Learning"],
  "skills": ["python", "sql", "machine learning"],
  "industry": "IT Services & Consulting",
  "department": "Data Science & Analytics",
  "jobType": "Full Time",
  "badges": ["Actively Hiring"],
  "datePosted": "2026-10-27T13:31:26+05:30",
  "validThrough": "2026-11-11T13:31:22+05:30",
  "url": "https://www.shine.com/jobs/data-analyst/...",
  "description": "…"
}
```

`keySkills` are the employer's tags; `skills`, `benefits` and `seniority` are inferred from the text and can be empty.

### Pricing

Pay per event: you pay per job delivered. Filtered, expired or already-delivered jobs ("only new" mode) are never
charged.

### Fair use

- Uses only Shine's public search and job pages (no `/api/` endpoints, as Shine's `robots.txt` asks), with an honest
  bot user agent and about one request per second.
- Collects job and employer data only — no candidate data, no recruiter contact details.
- Not affiliated with or endorsed by Shine.com.
