## Pricing

from $1.80 / 1,000 website results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Contact Extractor

**Company Contact Extractor** is a company contact extractor for lead lists: give it a list of company websites and it returns the public **emails, phone numbers and social media links** found on each site, as clean structured data you can download as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull through the Apify API. It reads the home page and the pages where companies publish their contacts (contact, about, legal notice), so you build a lead list in minutes instead of copying addresses by hand.

### What can this company contact extractor do?

- Find email addresses published on a website, including `mailto:` links and simple obfuscations such as `name [at] company.com`.
- Collect phone numbers from `tel:` links and from international numbers written in the page text.
- Collect public social profile links: LinkedIn company pages, Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, GitHub and TikTok.
- Scan several pages per site (home page plus contact-like pages of the same domain) and return one item per website.
- Run on the Apify free plan: a test of a few sites costs only a few cents of your monthly credits.

It only reads public pages over plain HTTP. It never logs in, never reads private accounts, and does not try to bypass captchas or blocks. Sites that render everything with JavaScript only after loading may return fewer contacts.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** and open the **Input** tab.
2. Add the company website URLs (or domains) in **Company website URLs**, or keep the prefilled example.
3. Choose the maximum number of pages per site and the maximum number of websites, then click **Start**.
4. Download the results from the **Output** tab (JSON, CSV, Excel), or call the Actor from the API, Make, Zapier or n8n.

### Input

```json
{
  "startUrls": [{ "url": "https://apify.com" }],
  "maxPagesPerSite": 2,
  "maxItems": 3
}
```

- `startUrls`: the company websites to scan.
- `maxPagesPerSite`: home page plus contact-like pages, from 1 to 6 (default 3).
- `maxItems`: maximum number of websites processed in the run.

### Output

Each website is one dataset item. Example (values shortened):

```json
{
  "url": "https://example-company.com",
  "domain": "example-company.com",
  "status": "ok",
  "emails": ["hello@example-company.com"],
  "phones": ["+15551234567"],
  "socialLinks": {
    "linkedin": ["https://www.linkedin.com/company/example-company"],
    "twitter": ["https://twitter.com/examplecompany"]
  },
  "pagesScanned": ["https://example-company.com", "https://example-company.com/contact"]
}
```

`status` is `ok` when at least one contact was found, `no_contacts_found` when the pages hold none, or `unreachable` when the site could not be loaded.

### How much does it cost?

This Actor uses **pay per event** pricing: one `result` event is billed for each website where at least one email, phone number or social link was found. Websites that are unreachable or contain no contact are not billed. So 1,000 results cost the price of 1,000 `result` events shown in the **Pricing** tab. Apify's free plan gives you monthly credits to try it before you pay.

### FAQ

#### Is it legal to use this company contact extractor? (GDPR)

The Actor only collects contact details that companies publish themselves on their public websites. Business emails can still be personal data (for example `firstname.lastname@company.com`). If you target people in the EU or UK, you must respect the GDPR: have a lawful basis for contacting them, tell them where you got their data, and honor opt-out requests. You are responsible for how you use the results and for local anti-spam rules.

#### Why does a site return no contacts?

Some sites load their contact details with JavaScript after the page opens, hide them behind forms, or block automated requests. The Actor does not bypass protections or captchas.

#### Can I scan a list of thousands of sites?

Yes. Raise `maxItems` and pass your list of URLs; sites are processed in parallel.

#### What if something does not work?

Open an issue in the **Issues** tab with your input and the run link.

#### Can I use it through the API?

Yes. Every run can be started and read through the Apify API and its Python and JavaScript clients.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Public company websites to scan (home page URL or domain). One result is produced per website.

## `maxPagesPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Home page plus contact-like pages (contact, about, legal notice...) of the same site. From 1 to 6.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many websites. Keep it low to test the Actor cheaply.
