## Pricing

from $1.68 / 1,000 business profiles

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Maps Business Profile Scraper

**Google Maps Business Profile Scraper** turns Google Maps search queries such as "plumber in Austin, TX" into a clean
list of local businesses with their **name, phone number, website, address, rating** and, optionally, the **public
emails** published on each business website. Download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or call the Actor from the
Apify API, Make, Zapier or n8n. It is built for sales teams, agencies and freelancers who need a Google Maps contact
list for local lead generation without copying listings by hand.

### What can this Actor do?

- Search Google Maps with any query ("dentist in Chicago", "bakery near Lyon") and read the public business listings.
- Extract the business name, category, address, phone, website, star rating, number of reviews, coordinates and the
  link to the Maps listing.
- Visit each business website (home page and contact page, robots.txt respected) and add the public emails found there.
- Flag permanently closed listings so you can filter them out.
- Run several queries in one run; duplicates are removed. The Apify free plan monthly credits let you test it on a few
  dozen businesses before you pay.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** and open the **Input** tab.
2. Type one or more **search queries**, the way you would in Google Maps.
3. Set the **maximum places per query** (keep it small for a first test) and choose whether to look for emails.
4. Click **Start**, then download the results from the **Output** tab as JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Input

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["coffee shop in Austin, TX"],
  "maxPlacesPerQuery": 3,
  "includeEmails": true,
  "language": "en"
}
```

### Output

Each business is one dataset item:

```json
{
  "name": "Example Coffee Roasters",
  "category": "Coffee shop",
  "address": "123 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701",
  "phone": "(512) 555-0100",
  "website": "https://www.example-coffee.com/",
  "emails": ["hello@example-coffee.com"],
  "rating": 4.6,
  "reviewsCount": 812,
  "latitude": 30.2672,
  "longitude": -97.7431,
  "permanentlyClosed": false,
  "mapsUrl": "https://www.google.com/maps/place/...",
  "query": "coffee shop in Austin, TX"
}
```

Fields can be empty when the listing does not publish them (for example no website or no phone).

### How much does it cost?

This Actor uses **pay per event** pricing: you pay a small amount for each business returned, and nothing for queries
that return no business. For example, 1,000 businesses cost the price of 1,000 `result` events shown in the **Pricing**
tab, plus the small Apify platform usage of the browser. The email lookup adds no extra event.

### FAQ

#### Is it legal to scrape Google Maps?

The Actor only reads public listing data that any visitor can see, without logging in, and never bypasses a captcha.
Business contact details can still be personal data (for example a sole trader's phone or email). Under the GDPR you
need a lawful basis, such as legitimate interest for B2B prospecting, and you must respect opt-outs and local
marketing rules. Check Google's terms and your local law before using the data. You are responsible for lawful use.

#### What if Google shows a captcha or blocks the run?

The Actor stops and writes it in the log. It does not try to solve or avoid captchas. Retry later with a smaller
number of places per query.

#### How many emails will I get?

Google Maps does not publish emails. The Actor looks for them on the business website, so only businesses with a
website that shows an email address will have one.

#### What if something does not work?

Open an issue in the **Issues** tab with your input and the run link. Google changes its pages from time to time and
the Actor is updated when needed.

#### Can I use it through the API?

Yes. Every run can be started and read through the Apify API and its Python and JavaScript clients.
