## Pricing

from $0.30 / 1,000 website with contacts

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Contact Extractor

**Website Contact Extractor** scans public company websites and returns their business **emails, phone numbers and social media links** as clean JSON, CSV or Excel. Give it a list of domains, and it reads the home page plus the contact, about and legal pages to build a ready-to-use contact list for lead generation, sales prospecting or CRM enrichment. It is fast, uses plain HTTP (no browser), and bills only the websites where a contact was found.

### What can this Actor do?

- Extract public email addresses (from `mailto:` links and visible text) from any company website.
- Decode Cloudflare-protected emails and read phones from `tel:` links and structured data (JSON-LD), and links to LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, GitHub and TikTok company pages.
- Follow contact, about, imprint, legal and team pages on the same site (you choose how many pages per site).
- Export results as JSON, CSV, Excel or through the API, Make, Zapier and n8n.
- Try it free: Apify's free plan monthly credits cover hundreds of websites.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** and open the **Input** tab.
2. Paste your list of website URLs or domains (one per line), or keep the prefilled example.
3. Set the maximum number of websites and pages per site, then click **Start**.
4. Download the results from the **Output** tab, or call the Actor from the API.

### Input

```json
{
  "urls": ["https://apify.com"],
  "maxPagesPerSite": 3,
  "maxItems": 3
}
```

- `urls`: websites to scan (full URL or bare domain).
- `maxPagesPerSite`: 1 to 8 pages read per website (default 3).
- `maxItems`: maximum number of websites processed.

### Output

Each website is one dataset item. Example:

```json
{
  "website": "https://apify.com",
  "domain": "apify.com",
  "emails": ["hello@apify.com"],
  "phones": [],
  "socialLinks": {
    "linkedin": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/apifytech",
    "github": "https://github.com/apify"
  },
  "pagesScanned": ["https://apify.com", "https://apify.com/contact"],
  "status": "ok"
}
```

`status` is `ok` when at least one contact was found, `no_contacts_found` when the pages contain none, and `unreachable` when the site could not be loaded. Only `ok` items are billed.

### How much does it cost?

This Actor uses **pay per event** pricing: one `result` event per website where contacts were found, nothing for unreachable sites or sites without contacts. For 1,000 websites you pay the price of 1,000 `result` events shown in the **Pricing** tab. Apify's free plan gives monthly credits to test it first.

### FAQ

#### Is it legal to use this Actor?

The Actor only reads public web pages, never logs in and never bypasses captchas. Business contact details published on a company site are public, but they can still be personal data (for example `firstname.lastname@company.com`). You are responsible for using the results lawfully, including the **GDPR** (legitimate interest, right to object, opt-out in your outreach) and anti-spam rules such as CAN-SPAM and ePrivacy.

#### Why did a website return no contacts?

Some sites load contacts with JavaScript, hide them behind forms, or block automated requests. The Actor does not circumvent such protections. Try a higher `maxPagesPerSite` or the direct URL of the contact page.

#### Can I use it through the API?

Yes. Every run can be started and read through the Apify API and its Python and JavaScript clients.

#### What if something does not work?

Open an issue in the **Issues** tab with your input and the run link.
