## Pricing

from $1.80 / 1,000 website results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Contact Extractor

**Website Contact Extractor** takes a list of business website URLs and returns, for each site, the **emails, phone numbers and social media pages** that the company publishes on its own website. It reads the home page plus a few contact, about, legal and imprint pages of the same site, and gives you one clean dataset row per website. Use it to build B2B lead lists, enrich a CRM, check supplier details or prepare outreach, without opening each site by hand.

### What it does

For every URL you provide, the actor:

- fetches the home page and follows links to contact-like pages of the same domain (contact, about, impressum, legal, support, and their common translations);
- reads contact pages first, then team and about pages, then legal/imprint pages, so a small page budget still finds the right contacts;
- extracts email addresses (`mailto:` links, visible text, Cloudflare-protected addresses, "name \[at] domain \[dot] com" style, and JSON-LD data), filtering out image file names and placeholder domains;
- extracts phone numbers from `tel:` links and from numbers written next to labels such as "phone", "tel" or "call";
- collects company links on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn (company pages only), Twitter/X, YouTube, TikTok and Pinterest;
- reports sites that cannot be read as `error`, and does not charge for them.

It does not log in anywhere, does not bypass captchas, and ignores personal profiles (LinkedIn `/in/...`, personal Facebook profiles) and share buttons.

### How to use

1. Paste your business websites in **Business website URLs**, one per line (with or without `https://`).
2. Optionally set **Max pages per site** (1 to 10, default 3) to read more contact pages.
3. Optionally set **Max sites** as a safety cap on the cost of a run.
4. Click Start, then export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

A run on a few sites takes seconds. Large lists are processed in parallel.

### Input and output in JSON

Input:

```json
{
  "urls": ["https://www.python.org", "apify.com"],
  "maxPagesPerSite": 3,
  "maxSites": 100
}
```

Output, one item per website:

```json
{
  "url": "https://apify.com",
  "domain": "apify.com",
  "status": "ok",
  "pagesScanned": 3,
  "contactPages": ["https://apify.com/contact", "https://apify.com/about"],
  "emails": ["hello@apify.com"],
  "phones": ["+1 555 010 1234"],
  "facebook": ["https://www.facebook.com/apifytech"],
  "instagram": [],
  "linkedin": ["https://www.linkedin.com/company/apifytech"],
  "twitter": ["https://www.twitter.com/apify"],
  "youtube": [],
  "tiktok": [],
  "pinterest": []
}
```

When a site cannot be read, `status` is `error` and an `error` field explains why. The output values above are illustrative.

### Cost for 1,000 results

Pricing is pay per event: one `result` event for each website successfully read. Sites with `status: error` are free. The exact price per event is shown on the Store page, so 1,000 websites cost 1,000 times that price, plus a very small amount of Apify platform usage. Setting **Max sites** lets you cap the bill of any run.

### FAQ

**Which contacts are collected?**
Only what a company publishes itself on its public website: generic and named business emails, phone numbers and company social pages.

**Why is a phone number or email missing?**
Addresses hidden by JavaScript, images or obfuscation are not detected, and phones are matched with heuristics (tel: links and labeled numbers) to avoid false positives. Raising **Max pages per site** often helps.

**Does it work on any website?**
It reads server-rendered HTML. Sites that answer 403, 429 or a captcha are reported as errors; the actor never tries to get around such protections.

**Can it find personal LinkedIn profiles?**
No. Only company, school and showcase pages are kept.

**GDPR and legal reminder**
Business contact data can still contain personal data (for example `firstname.lastname@company.com`). You are responsible for using the results in line with the GDPR and other applicable privacy and anti-spam laws (lawful basis, opt-out, purpose limitation) and with each website's terms of use.
