## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## 51job Job Listings Scraper

Collect public job cards shown on the 51job mobile homepage at `m.51job.com`. The Actor reads only the card data exposed on that page; it does not sign in or fetch private resume or employer data. The public cards can include a job ID, title, salary text, area, experience and education requirements, employer name and ID, listing time, function category code, and visible labels. Detail-page descriptions are not part of the card data.

The number of cards depends on what 51job currently displays on its homepage. `maxResults` sets an upper limit and does not cause the Actor to invent or expand records. An optional keyword filter is applied locally to the cards fetched from the page, so a term that is not present in the current homepage list can return zero results.

### Input

| Name | Type | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `keywords` | string | empty | Optional case-insensitive filter over each card's title, employer, salary, area, requirements, and visible labels. |
| `maxResults` | integer | `50` | Maximum number of matching cards to add to the dataset. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | `{"useApifyProxy": false}` | Optional Apify Proxy input. The Actor uses it only when `useApifyProxy` is enabled. |

### Example output

```json
{
  "job_id": "173630739",
  "title": "数据分析",
  "url": "https://msearch.51job.com/jobs/shanghai-jaq/173630739.html",
  "salary": "1.5-1.8万·14薪",
  "location": "上海·静安区",
  "experience": "2年及以上",
  "education": "本科",
  "company_id": "10583547",
  "posted_at": "2026-09-14 09:35:24",
  "scraped_at": "2026-10-10T00:00:00+00:00"
}
```

The example values come from a captured public listing card. Optional fields such as employer name, employer type, function code, and visible labels are included when present on a card. URLs retain the observed job path and omit temporary tracking parameters.

### Price per result

Price per result: **$0.001 per dataset item**. The Actor writes each result with `push_data` and does not add a separate `Actor.charge` event.

        ]
    }
};

// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("bovi/51job-scraper").call(input);

// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
