This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## BikeWale Bikes & Scooters Scraper

Collect publicly available **BikeWale (bikewale.com)** new-bike and scooter
catalogue data as clean, structured records. Feed the actor brand listing pages
and/or direct model pages; it returns one rich record per model — ex-showroom
price range, rating, review count and a full specification set.

### Input

| field | description |
|---|---|
| `startUrls` | BikeWale URLs to scrape. **Brand listing** pages (e.g. `https://www.bikewale.com/honda-bikes`) — the actor follows every model link on them. **Direct model** pages (e.g. `https://www.bikewale.com/honda-bikes/sp-125/`) — scraped straight away. You can mix both. |
| `maxItems` | Cap on total models returned (`0` = no cap). |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Uses Apify Residential (India) by default — **no external proxy key needed**. |

### What you get (one record per model)

| field | description |
|---|---|
| `model_id` | stable numeric model id |
| `name` | full model name (e.g. `Honda SP 125`) |
| `brand` / `model` | brand and model name |
| `model_url` | model page URL |
| `body_type` | commuter / sports / cruiser / scooter … |
| `price_min` / `price_max` | ex-showroom price range |
| `currency` | price currency (e.g. `INR`) |
| `rating` | average rating (out of 5) |
| `rating_count` / `review_count` | number of ratings and written reviews |
| `displacement_cc` | engine displacement |
| `mileage_kmpl` | mileage |
| `power_bhp` | max power |
| `top_speed_kmph` | top speed |
| `transmission` | transmission type |
| `fuel_tank_l` | fuel tank capacity |
| `seat_height_mm` | seat height |
| `emission_standard` | emission standard |
| `colours` / `colour_count` | available colours |
| `specs` | full key→value specification dictionary |
| `image_url` | lead image |
| `description` | model summary |

### How it works

Each model page is server-rendered and carries a schema.org `Product` JSON-LD
block, so the scraper reads the model's structured data directly — price range,
aggregate rating, and the complete `additionalProperty` specification list. This
is resistant to cosmetic markup changes. Brand listing pages are parsed for
their model links, which are then followed to the detail pages. Requests use a
residential proxy for reliable access; you only supply the URLs.

### Pricing

Pay per result — you are charged once per model record written to the dataset.
Compute runs on your own Apify account.

### Notes

This tool collects publicly available vehicle catalogue data for research and
aggregation.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

BikeWale URLs to scrape. Two shapes are accepted: (1) a brand listing page such as https://www.bikewale.com/honda-bikes — the actor follows every model link on it; (2) a direct model page such as https://www.bikewale.com/honda-bikes/sp-125/ — scraped straight away. You can mix both.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of model records to return across all start URLs. Default 0 = no cap.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy used to reach bikewale.com. Apify RESIDENTIAL (India) is recommended and used by default — no external proxy key required.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    "https://www.bikewale.com/honda-bikes"
  ],
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "apifyProxyGroups": [
      "RESIDENTIAL"
    ],
    "apifyProxyCountry": "IN"
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Dataset of scraped model records.
