## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## HelloWork.fr Job Scraper

This Python Actor collects job cards from HelloWork public category and keyword listing pages. Each dataset item contains the listing ID, job title, employer, location, contract type, the source listing path, and a fully qualified canonical URL. Salary and remote-work information are included only when the listing card visibly provides them. The Actor does not invent missing values and does not request job-detail pages.

The hellowork.fr host redirects deep listing routes to HelloWork's canonical www.hellowork.com host. The Actor follows that same site's canonical listing routes after the redirect behavior was verified. The public homepage source states that automated extraction requires written authorization; use this Actor only when your use is covered by written permission.

### Input

Provide a public HelloWork category or keyword such as informatique or data-et-ia. The Actor tries the category route first and then the keyword route. Optional location and contract filters are applied to the fields visible on the returned cards. The maxResults field defaults to 50 and limits the number of dataset items. Proxy configuration is optional; omitting it or setting useApifyProxy to false sends requests without a proxy.

### Example output

```
{
  "id": "<listing id>",
  "title": "<job title>",
  "company": "<employer>",
  "location": "<location shown on the card>",
  "contractType": "<contract shown on the card>",
  "salary": "<included only when shown>",
  "remoteOption": "<included only when shown>",
  "url": "/fr-fr/emplois/<listing id>.html",
  "canonicalUrl": "https://www.hellowork.com/fr-fr/emplois/<listing id>.html"
}
```

The url field preserves the relative href from the page. canonicalUrl is the same listing resolved on HelloWork’s canonical host. Optional salary and remoteOption properties are omitted when the listing card does not provide them. Publication date and repost status are not emitted because they are not present in the public category-card data used by this Actor.

### Price per result

Reference pay-per-item rate from the champion listing: $0.00094 per result on Free and Bronze tiers; higher plan rates may differ. Apify's current Store listing is authoritative. This Actor defines no custom pricingInfos and does not call Actor.charge; each pushed dataset item is billed by the platform's dataset-item pricing.

### Local checks

The parser test reads the saved HelloWork category-page fixture and requires at least five real listing cards. A local Actor run can use searchQuery set to informatique, maxResults set to 10, and proxyConfiguration set to {"useApifyProxy": false}.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQuery` (type: `string`):

A HelloWork public listing category or keyword, for example informatique, data-et-ia, or saisonnier-hiver.

## `location` (type: `string`):

Optional text filter applied to the location shown on each collected job card.

## `contractType` (type: `string`):

Optional contract filter matching the contract shown on the job card.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of job records to push to the dataset.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional Apify proxy settings. When useApifyProxy is false or this field is omitted, requests run without a proxy.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "searchQuery": "informatique",
  "maxResults": 50,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "apifyProxyGroups": [
      "RESIDENTIAL"
    ]
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Dataset containing the collected job records.

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "searchQuery": "informatique",
        "apifyProxyGroups": [
            "RESIDENTIAL"
        ]
    }
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("bovi/hellowork-scraper").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
