## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Herold.at Business Listings Scraper

Collect public business listings from Herold.at, Austria's online directory. Search by business category and Austrian city or region, or provide one or more Herold.at search-result URLs. The actor follows result-page links and stops when it reaches the configured result limit.

### What it collects

Each record can include the Herold business ID and profile URL, business name, verified status, average rating and review count, description, street address, postal code, region, phone, email, website, and logo URL when those values appear on the result page. Enable profile details to also collect coordinates, structured opening hours, payment methods, founding year, and the reviews visible on the business profile. Optional fields are omitted when Herold does not provide them.

### Input

Choose search mode to combine category slugs with location slugs. Leave locations empty to use the Austria-wide category page. Choose URL mode to crawl provided HTTPS search URLs on herold.at. The optional filters keep verified or rated businesses and can apply a minimum rating. Set maxPages to limit pagination for each search; maxResults is the overall output cap and defaults to 50. Profile detail fetching is off by default. A proxy is optional and is used only when the input enables the Apify proxy.

### Example output

The values below describe the record shape. Optional values only appear when they were present on the Herold page.

```
{
  "id": "<Herold business ID>",
  "url": "<Herold profile URL>",
  "name": "<business name>",
  "verified": "<true or false>",
  "rating": "<number when present>",
  "review_count": "<integer when present>",
  "street_address": "<street address>",
  "postal_code": "<postal code>",
  "address_region": "<Austrian region>",
  "phone": "<phone number>",
  "email": "<email address>",
  "website": "<business website>",
  "source": "herold.at",
  "scraped_at": "<UTC timestamp>"
}
```

### Pricing

The actor writes one dataset item for each business record and does not add a separate actor charge. The champion listing specifies a reference price of $0.0015 per result on the FREE pricing tier; the applicable Apify price can vary by account tier.
