## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Hirist.tech IT Jobs Scraper

Collect current technology job listings from Hirist.tech and export them as structured dataset items. The actor reads Hirist's public job feed and detail JSON endpoints without logging in or rendering a browser page. Each result can include its canonical job URL, title, employer, company rating and review count, locations, salary range in LPA, experience range, skills, hiring flags, and posting time. A field is omitted when Hirist does not provide a value for that listing.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `keywords` | array of strings | `[]` | Hirist technology tags such as `python`, `react`, or `data-science`. Empty searches the current feed. |
| `cities` | array of strings | `[]` | Optional case-insensitive location match, such as `bangalore` or `remote`. |
| `experience` | string | `""` | Keep jobs whose published experience range overlaps `0-2`, `2-5`, `5-10`, or `10+`. |
| `maxResults` | integer | `50` | Maximum records across all searches. |
| `maxPages` | integer | `10` | Maximum feed pages to inspect per keyword. A page contains up to 20 listings. |
| `requestDelay` | integer (ms) | `500` | Delay between feed and detail requests. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | direct connection | Optional Apify Proxy configuration. The actor uses it only when `useApifyProxy` is `true`. |

### Example output

This example uses a record returned by the public feed during local research:

```json
{
  "jobId": "1678648",
  "url": "https://www.hirist.tech/j/course5-intelligence-data-solution-architect-1678648",
  "title": "Course5 Intelligence - Data Solution Architect",
  "company": "C5i",
  "location": "Bangalore, Mumbai",
  "salaryMin": 30,
  "salaryMax": 45,
  "experienceMin": 10,
  "experienceMax": 14,
  "skills": ["Data Architect", "Solution Architect", "SQL", "Python"],
  "postedAt": "2026-10-15T06:18:18.465Z"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per result. The champion entry lists a reference rate of **US$0.003 per dataset item**; Store tier pricing may apply. The actor does not call `Actor.charge`; Apify bills pushed dataset items through the platform's item pricing.

### Notes

Keyword values are resolved through Hirist's public tag data. City and experience filters are applied to fields returned by the feed. The API may omit salary, company ratings, or other optional values for individual listings; those keys are left out of that record rather than filled with placeholders.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Optional Hirist tags such as python, react, java, data-science, devops, machine-learning, node-js, aws, android or ios. Leave empty to browse the current feed.

## `cities` (type: `array`):

Optional city names, matched case-insensitively against each listing's locations. Examples: bangalore, delhi, mumbai, hyderabad, pune, chennai, noida, gurgaon, remote.

## `experience` (type: `string`):

Keep jobs whose published experience range overlaps this band. Leave empty for all levels.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of job records to return across all keyword searches.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

Maximum feed pages to inspect for each keyword. Each page contains up to 20 jobs.

## `requestDelay` (type: `integer`):

Delay between API requests. Use a longer delay for large runs.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional Apify Proxy configuration. By default the actor connects directly to Hirist.tech.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "keywords": [],
  "cities": [],
  "experience": "",
  "maxResults": 50,
  "maxPages": 10,
  "requestDelay": 500,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "apifyProxyGroups": [
      "RESIDENTIAL"
    ]
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Dataset with the scraped records.
