## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Metrocuadrado Scraper

Collect public real estate listings from [Metrocuadrado.com](https://www.metrocuadrado.com/), a Colombian property marketplace. The actor reads the listing data rendered on Metrocuadrado search pages and saves structured records for properties offered for sale or rent. It does not require a site login. Each record contains only fields available in the page, such as listing ID and URL, title, operation and property type, price in COP, area, rooms, neighborhood, city, published attributes, location coordinates, and photo URLs. Optional values are omitted when the page does not provide them.

### Input

| Field | Purpose | Default |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `operationType` | `sale` or `rent` | `sale` |
| `propertyType` | Apartment, house, office, commercial, land, warehouse, ranch, parking, or any | `apartment` |
| `city` | Metrocuadrado city slug, such as `bogota`, `medellin`, or `cali` | `bogota` |
| `maxResults` | Maximum records saved across the supplied search pages | `50` |
| `minPrice`, `maxPrice` | Price range in Colombian pesos | not set |
| `minAreaM2`, `maxAreaM2` | Total area range | not set |
| `minRooms`, `minBathrooms`, `stratum` | Minimum room counts or exact socioeconomic stratum | not set |
| `centerLat`, `centerLng`, `radiusKm` | Keep listings within a radius of a map center; provide both coordinates | not set |
| `startUrls` | Optional Metrocuadrado search URLs; these replace the generated city and type search | `[]` |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Optional Apify proxy configuration | disabled |

Example input for apartments for sale in Bogotá:

```json
{
  "operationType": "sale",
  "propertyType": "apartment",
  "city": "bogota",
  "maxResults": 50,
  "proxyConfiguration": {"useApifyProxy": false}
}
```

### Example output

  "city": "Bogotá D.C.",
  "neighborhood": "RINCON DEL CHICO",
  "stratum": 6,

}
```
### Results and pricing
The default dataset contains one record per listing. `maxResults` is an upper bound; Metrocuadrado may return fewer matching listings on a search page. Multiple search pages can be supplied with `startUrls`, and the same result cap applies across them. The reference base price is **$0.00149 per dataset item** ($1.49 per 1,000 results); Apify pricing tiers may apply different rates.
The actor does not add empty descriptions, fees, or other fields that are not published in the collected result data. Price, area, room, stratum, and radius filters are applied to the returned listings. Coordinates are required for radius filtering, and a listing without coordinates is excluded from that search.
