## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Ctrip Hotel Reviews Scraper

Collect publicly available guest reviews from Ctrip hotel detail pages at hotels.ctrip.com. Each dataset item represents one review and includes the source review text, rating, submission and check-in dates, travel type, room, language, reviewer details, helpful-vote count, photo and video counts, and a hotel response when Ctrip provides one. The actor reads the review data embedded in the hotel page; it does not require a login.

### Input

Provide one or more Ctrip hotel detail URLs in startUrls. For example, use a URL shaped like https://hotels.ctrip.com/hotels/1286148.html. The actor accepts only hotels.ctrip.com hotel detail pages. Set maxResults to cap the total number of records across all URLs; the default is 50. proxyConfiguration is optional. Set useApifyProxy to true to route requests through the supplied Apify Proxy configuration; with no proxy configuration, requests go directly to Ctrip.

### Example output

```
{
  "reviewId": "Ctrip review ID",
  "hotelId": 1286148,
  "hotelName": "Hotel name from Ctrip",
  "hotelUrl": "https://hotels.ctrip.com/hotels/1286148.html",
  "source": "ctrip",
  "submittedAt": "Date and time returned by Ctrip",
  "overallRating": 5,
  "reviewText": "Original review text returned by Ctrip",
  "usefulCount": 0,
  "imagesCount": 0,
  "hasVideo": false,
  "extractedAt": "UTC extraction timestamp"
}
```

Ctrip dates are preserved as returned by the page and have no timezone offset. Optional fields appear only when the source supplies them. The default page payload contains the reviews exposed on that hotel page; additional hotel URLs can be supplied to collect more records. Duplicate review IDs are emitted once per run.

### Pricing

The champion listing's FREE-tier reference price is $0.004 per review. This actor emits one dataset item per review, and Apify bills each pushed item at the price shown on the published Actor page. The actor does not call Actor.charge.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Hotel detail URLs on hotels.ctrip.com. Each page contributes its publicly available first-page guest reviews.

  "startUrls": [
    "https://hotels.ctrip.com/hotels/1286148.html"
  ],

  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "apifyProxyGroups": [
      "RESIDENTIAL"
    ]
  }
}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `results` (type: `string`):
