## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ViewStats YouTube Channel Analytics Scraper

Find channels and collect public YouTube analytics provided by [ViewStats](https://viewstats.com). Use either explicit handles, ViewStats or YouTube URLs, and YouTube channel IDs, or enter keyword search terms. The actor returns one dataset record for each resolved channel. No account login is required.

### What it collects

Each record can include the ViewStats channel ID and name, handle, profile URL, verification status, country, subscriber, view and video counts, global and country rankings, category ranking, 90-day views, and avatar and banner URLs. When the public profile provides them, the record also includes weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly and all-time growth, estimated revenue ranges, and long-form versus Shorts counts and views. Revenue values are ViewStats estimates, not reported earnings. Optional fields are omitted when the source does not return them.

### Input

| Field | Type | Description | Default |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `mode` (required) | select | Use `channels` for explicit references or `search` for keywords. | `channels` |
| `channels` | string list | Channels mode only: handles such as `@MrBeast`, ViewStats or YouTube URLs, or channel IDs. | Example creator channels |
| `searchTerms` | string list | Search mode only. Each term returns up to ten ViewStats channel matches. | `mrbeast` |
| `maxChannelsPerSearch` | integer | Maximum matches to enrich per search term, up to ten. | `10` |
| `maxResults` | integer | Maximum channel records to write across the run. | `50` |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | Optional Apify proxy settings. Direct requests are used when omitted or disabled. | `{"useApifyProxy":false}` |

Example input:

```json
{
  "mode": "search",
  "searchTerms": ["mrbeast"],
  "maxChannelsPerSearch": 10,
  "maxResults": 10,
  "proxyConfiguration": {"useApifyProxy": false}
}
```

### Example output

```json
{
  "displayName": "MrBeast",
  "handle": "mrbeast",
  "channelId": "UCX6OQ3DkcsbYNE6H8uQQuVA",
  "url": "https://www.viewstats.com/@mrbeast/channelytics",
  "subscriberCount": 520000000,
  "viewCount": 141988167815,
  "globalSubscribersRanking": 1,
  "estimatedRevenueLowUsdMonthly": 2400458,
  "estimatedRevenueHighUsdMonthly": 6676604
}
```

### Price per result

One channel record is one default-dataset item billed by Apify. The champion actor's reference rate is **$0.002 per channel item on the FREE tier**; the rate configured for this actor on its Store page is authoritative. This actor does not add a separate profile-detail charge or call `Actor.charge`.
