## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Welcome to the Jungle Scraper

Collect public job listings from welcometothejungle.com. The actor discovers listings through the site's public job sitemap, then reads each public job page and extracts its structured JobPosting data. It does not sign in or invent fields that the page does not publish.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| keywords | string | developer | All words must match the company or job listing URL path. Leave empty to include listings without a keyword filter. |
| maxResults | integer | 50 | Maximum number of records to return. |
| proxyConfiguration | object | useApifyProxy: false | Optional proxy settings. If disabled or omitted, requests use the direct connection. |

The required keywords field has a prefilled value so the actor can be started from the store input form. The maxResults value is an upper limit: the actor stops as soon as it has returned that many valid job records.

### Output

Each record includes the public job URL, title, company slug and profile URL, source, and collection time. An opaque ID and sitemap modification time are included when published. When a job page provides public JobPosting JSON-LD, normalized values such as company name, contract type, dates, locations, salary, qualifications, experience, sectors, and description are grouped under `details`. Keeping optional page fields together makes sitemap-only records consistent when a page is blocked or omits information. Missing values are never invented.

### Pricing

Price per result: $0.00099 (equivalent to $0.99 per 1,000 returned items). Apify bills each item pushed to the default dataset.

### Collection notes

Job discovery uses the site's public sitemap because its current search page is an account-matching interface. The actor filters sitemap URLs by keyword, then fetches matching job pages for structured JobPosting details. It can return fewer than maxResults when the site has fewer matching public listings. When a page request is blocked, sitemap-backed records remain available and contain only values parsed from the sitemap and URL.
