## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does Company Job Finder: Greenhouse, Lever, Workday & More do?

Company Job Finder lists **every open job at a company**, read live from the company's own job board.

Give it company names or websites, like `Stripe`, `notion.so` or a link to a careers page. For each company it finds which hiring system its job board runs on (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and eight more), then returns every open job with its title, location, department, remote flag, posting date, pay when the posting lists it, and the link to apply.

You pay **one flat price per company**, not per job, so a company with 700 open roles costs the same as one with 7.

It never signs in anywhere and never applies to anything. It only reads public job boards.

### Why use it?

- **Recruiting and sales research.** See who is hiring, for what and where, straight from the source, before a job aggregator picks it up.
- **Job hunting across a target list.** Put your shortlist of companies in one run and keep only the roles you care about with `query` and `location`.
- **AI agents.** Connect it as an MCP server and let an agent answer "is Figma hiring designers in London?" while it works.

### How it works

For each company:

1. It looks for the company's careers page and the hiring system behind it. If you gave only a name, it also asks each supported hiring system for a board under that name.
2. It reads the board live: **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Workday, Teamtailor, BambooHR, Rippling, Personio and Breezy HR**.
3. It keeps the jobs that match your filters and returns them in one row for the company.

If a job board was found by name alone, or a second board under the same name also lists jobs, the row says so in `warnings`.

### Input

| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `companies` | Yes | One company per entry: a name (`"Stripe"`), a website (`"stripe.com"`) or a link to its careers page or one of its job postings. |
| `query` | No | Keep only jobs whose title or department has every one of these words, like `"product manager"`. |
| `location` | No | Keep only jobs whose location contains this text, like `"London"` or `"Remote"`. |
| `maxConcurrency` | No | Companies processed at once, 1 to 8. Default `4`. |

Example input:

```json
{ "companies": ["Notion", "ramp.com", "https://www.figma.com/careers/"], "query": "engineer" }
```

### Output

One dataset row per company, with every matching job in the `jobs` column. Download it as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read it through the Apify API.

```json
{
  "input": "ramp.com",
  "query": "engineer",
  "location": null,
  "status": "found",
  "company": null,
  "jobBoard": "Ashby",
  "jobBoardUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp",
  "totalOpenJobs": 168,
  "matchingJobs": 43,
  "jobs": [
    {
      "title": "Security Engineer, Cloud",
      "location": "New York, NY (HQ) | Remote (Canada) | Remote (US) | Miami, FL",
      "department": "Engineering, Backend",
      "remote": true,
      "employmentType": "FullTime",
      "postedAt": "2026-04-07T17:12:35.753+00:00",
      "salary": "$211.4K to $290.6K, Offers Equity",
      "salaryMin": 211400,
      "salaryMax": 290600,
      "salaryCurrency": "USD",
      "salaryPeriod": "1 YEAR",
      "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245"
    }
  ],
  "warnings": [],
  "error": null
}
```

`status` is `found`, `not_found` or `error`. `not_found` means the company's job board was read and has no open jobs matching your filters, which is a real answer. `error` means its job board could not be found or read; the `error` column says what to try instead.

### Pricing

**$0.015 per company**, with no monthly fee, however many jobs it has.

- A company is charged when its job board is found and read, even if no job matches your filters.
- A company whose job board cannot be found, or that fails with an error, is not charged.
- Set a spending limit on the run and the Actor stops cleanly when it reaches it.
- On Apify's free plan, each run processes the first 10 companies (10 tool calls per MCP session). Any paid Apify plan removes the limit.

### Use it as an MCP server

This Actor also runs as an MCP server with one tool, `find_company_jobs`. Point any MCP client (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, your own agent) at:

```
https://bowmark-ai--company-job-finder.apify.actor/mcp
```

with your Apify API token as a bearer token. Each tool call is billed like one company in a normal run.

### Limits and good practice

- It reads only **public** job boards. It never signs in anywhere and never changes anything.
- A website or careers link is surer than a name. A name like "Notion" is matched to the board of that name, and the row warns you so you can check it.
- Some companies, often very large ones, run hiring systems this Actor does not read yet (iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors and similar). Those come back as `error` and are not charged.
- Pay and remote fields are filled only when the posting itself lists them.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One company per entry: its name ("Stripe"), its website ("stripe.com") or a link to its careers page or one of its job postings. A website or link is the surest. Up to 500 per run (10 on Apify's free plan).

## `query` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keep only jobs whose title or department contains every one of these words, like "product manager" or "engineer". Leave empty for every open job.

## `location` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keep only jobs whose location contains this text, like "London", "Remote" or "New York".

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many companies are processed in parallel.

## Actor input object example
