## Pricing

$250.00 / 1,000 completed comparisons

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## BidDelta — Compare RFP Addenda and Bid Revisions

Turn two versions of a procurement document into a prioritized review queue. BidDelta highlights changed deadlines, requirements, prices, quantities and specifications, with before-and-after excerpts for review.

Use it for RFP addenda, bid solicitations, supplier quotes and specifications. Processing is deterministic: no AI subscription or external AI API key is required.

### Try the synthetic demo

Keep **Free synthetic demo** enabled and start a run. Open **Comparison report** in Output. The demo ignores supplied documents and produces no paid event. It writes one synthetic report to the default dataset so the default input passes Apify Store health checks. The event audit is available as **Event audit**.

Apify platform usage is separate from an Actor event fee and depends on the current pricing configuration and your plan. Check the live Pricing tab before running.

### Compare your documents

1. Set `demoMode` to `false`.
2. Upload one original and one revised searchable PDF, DOCX or UTF-8 TXT document, or paste text for each version.
3. Start the run and open the comparison report or dataset.

The upload controls return one Apify-hosted HTTPS URL per file. Arbitrary external URLs are not fetched. One side can be uploaded while the other is pasted text.

```json
{
  "demoMode": false,
  "documentId": "RFP-2026-014, addendum 2",
  "oldText": "Bid deadline October 25, 2026. Quantity 500 units. Unit price $2.50.",
  "newText": "Bid deadline November 2, 2026. Quantity 700 units. Unit price $2.15."
}
```

For API uploads, use `oldFiles` and `newFiles` as URL strings from Apify's file-upload control. Do not send both uploaded content and pasted text for the same version. Omitting `demoMode` runs the demo; set it explicitly to `false` for your documents.

### What you receive

One comparison result contains:

- `changeCount`, `changed` and `priorityCounts` for triage.
- `changes`: additions, deletions or replacements, with HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW priorities and flags.
- Original/revised excerpts, detected dates, prices and numbers.
- SHA-256 hashes of each extracted input text.
- Input formats, PDF page counts, extraction warnings and limitations.

The `OUTPUT` key-value record contains the report for both demo and real comparisons. Both also write one default dataset item. The demo item is synthetic and free. `BILLING` contains an SDK event audit; zero-priced synthetic counters are not paid events. Platform compute usage is reported separately by Apify.

A successful comparison of identical documents is still a completed comparison and returns zero changes. There is no charge per individual flagged change.

### Included example

The two bundled synthetic PDFs contain five deliberate changes: a deadline, a quantity, a price, delivery lead time and a certificate requirement. The local verified result is **five review items: three HIGH and two MEDIUM**. This is a sample demonstration, not a statistical accuracy claim.

### Limits

- 5 MB per file, 100 pages per PDF and 60,000 extracted characters per version.
- Searchable PDFs only; image-only scans need OCR before upload.
- DOCX expanded archive contents are limited to 20 MB and 2,000 entries.
- No portal login, web crawling, document authentication or bid submission.
- English keyword rules; no semantic AI analysis or legal interpretation.

Extraction can omit tables, images, headers, footers, tracked changes and layout. Text alignment can group changes imperfectly. Review the original files and addenda before acting. BidDelta does not certify completeness or procurement/legal compliance.

### Data handling

Documents are processed in the run's Apify container. Output excerpts and hashes are stored in the run's dataset/key-value store. Retention and access follow Apify account/workspace settings. Only upload documents you are authorized to process. No document content is sent to an external AI service.

### Pricing

The introductory price is **$0.25 for one completed non-demo comparison**. One original/revised document pair is one comparison, regardless of the number of detected changes. The live Pricing tab is authoritative. There is no paid startup or dataset-item event, and no paid comparison event for the synthetic demo or rejected input. Platform usage is included in the listed customer price.
