## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Company Jobs & Hiring Signals — Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters & Recruitee Scraper

**Type in company names, get every open job and a hiring-signal summary.** This careers-page scraper auto-detects which job board each company uses — **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters or Recruitee** — and pulls every open role from the board's official public job API. No login, no proxies, no broken HTML parsing.

✅ One tool for 6 applicant tracking systems ✅ Auto-detects the job board from a name, website or careers URL ✅ Salary data when the company publishes it ✅ Hiring momentum score per company ✅ Export to CSV, Excel, JSON, Google Sheets, CRM

### 🎯 Who uses it

- **B2B sales & SDR teams** — hiring is the #1 buying signal. Find companies hiring for the team you sell to (e.g. "data engineer" → sell data tools) and prioritize accounts by hiring momentum.
- **Recruiters & staffing agencies** — monitor target companies for new roles the day they're posted.
- **Job seekers & job-board builders** — aggregate jobs from hundreds of companies into one feed.
- **Investors & analysts** — track headcount growth and which departments companies are investing in.
- **HR & comp teams** — benchmark posted salary ranges and remote policies.

### 📊 What you get

#### Jobs (one row per job)

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Company & job board | Stripe — `greenhouse` |
| Title, department, team | Account Executive, Enterprise — Enterprise Sales |
| Location, country, workplace type | New York — `US` — `hybrid` |
| Employment type | Full-time |
| Posted / updated date | `2026-10-29` |
| Salary min / max / currency / text | `150000` – `190000` USD (when published) |
| Job URL & apply URL | direct links |
| Full description (optional) | plain text |

#### Hiring signals (one row per company)

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Open jobs | `734` |
| New jobs last 7 / 30 days | `61` / `227` |
| Remote jobs | `48` |
| **Hiring momentum score (0–100)** | `59` |
| Top departments & locations | Sales: 72, Engineering: 37 |
| Newest posting date | `2026-10-29` |

### 🚀 How to use it

1. **Add companies** — any mix of:
   - company names: `airbnb`, `ramp`, `stripe`
   - websites: `notion.so`
   - careers URLs: `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp`
2. **Choose output** — Jobs, Companies (hiring signals) or Both.
3. **Filter (optional)** — title keywords (`engineer`, `account executive`), excluded words (`intern`), locations (`New York`, `Remote`), remote only, posted within N days.
4. **Run** — export or send to Google Sheets, HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Zapier, Make or n8n.

#### Example: find companies hiring data engineers in the last 14 days

```json
{
  "companies": ["airbnb", "stripe", "ramp", "notion", "palantir"],
  "outputType": "both",
  "titleKeywords": ["data engineer", "analytics engineer"],
  "postedWithinDays": 14
}
```

#### Example: hiring-signal scores for an account list

```json
{
  "companies": ["stripe", "ramp", "notion", "airbnb"],
  "outputType": "companies"
}
```

### 💰 Pricing

**$1.50 per 1,000 results** (jobs or company summaries) plus a small per-run start fee. Jobs removed by your filters are free. Pulling all ~700 open jobs at a large company costs about $1.

### ❓ FAQ

**What if a company name matches several job boards?**
The Actor checks all six systems and uses the board with the most open jobs. To force a specific board, paste the careers URL instead of the name.

**A company wasn't found — why?**
It probably uses a different system (e.g. Workday, iCIMS, or its own site), or its board slug differs from its name. Paste the careers-page URL from the company's website. Not-found companies are listed in the run's status message and the `NOT_FOUND` record.

**Do you include salaries?**
Yes, whenever the company publishes them (common for US roles because of pay-transparency laws). Lever and Recruitee give min/max numbers; Ashby gives a compensation summary.

**How is the hiring momentum score calculated?**
60% from the share of open roles posted in the last 30 days (damped for very small boards) and 40% from total open roles (200+ = max). Use it to rank accounts, not as an absolute measure.

**Can I monitor companies automatically?**
Yes — schedule a daily or weekly run with Apify Schedules and use "Posted within (days)" to get only new roles, then pipe them to Slack, email or your CRM.

**Does it work with AI agents?**
Yes, through the Apify API and Apify MCP server, with a full output schema.

### ⚖️ Legal

This Actor uses the job boards' official public posting APIs — the same endpoints companies use to show jobs on their own careers pages. It collects job postings only, no personal data.

### 💬 Support

Need another job board (e.g. Workday, Personio, BambooHR) or field? Open an issue on the **Issues** tab — we respond within 1–2 days.
