## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Florida Business Filings Monitor — New LLCs & Corps Daily

Every business filed in Florida **every business day** — straight from the Division of Corporations (Sunbiz) public data feed. New LLCs, corporations, limited partnerships and DBA/fictitious-name registrations with **owner names, addresses, registered agents, FEI numbers and officers** — the freshest B2B lead source in the state.

Built for **insurance agents, banks, payroll/HR companies, CPAs, office suppliers, commercial realtors and anyone who sells to new businesses** — a new LLC filed yesterday is a lead that doesn't exist anywhere else yet.

### Modes

#### `daily` — new entity filings for a date

```json
{ "mode": "daily", "fileDate": "20261017", "city": "MIAMI", "zipPrefix": "331" }
```

All corporations/LLCs/LPs filed that day (~800–1,500 per business day) — doc number, name, entity type, principal & mailing addresses, filing date, FEI, registered agent (name + address), up to 6 officers with titles, annual-report history. Filter by keyword, city, ZIP prefix, or filing type (`FLAL` = FL LLC, `FORL` = foreign LLC, `DOMP`, `FORP`...).

#### `dba` — fictitious-name registrations

```json
{ "mode": "dba", "fileDate": "20261017" }
```

Daily "doing business as" filings — the freshest sole-prop/small-business leads: DBA name, county, owner names + addresses, expiry dates.

#### `events` — corporate events for a date

```json
{ "mode": "events", "fileDate": "20261016" }
```

Reinstatements, dissolutions, amendments, name changes — lifecycle changes across the whole Florida registry (~1,500–2,500/day).

#### `search` — entity-name lookup

```json
{ "mode": "search", "query": "tesla" }
```

Sunbiz entity-name search with pagination — names, doc numbers, status (Active / INACT / Cross Ref), detail URLs.

#### `lookup` — full entity profiles

```json
{
  "mode": "lookup",
  "detailUrls": ["https://search.sunbiz.org/Inquiry/CorporationSearch/SearchResultDetail?..."]
}
```

Full Sunbiz detail pages: officers with titles + addresses, registered agent, FEI, filing date, last event, address-change history, annual reports.

### The money play

Schedule `daily` at 6am with a `zipPrefix` or `keyword` filter → wake up to every new business in your territory or vertical, with the owner's name and address. That's a lead list the data brokers charge per-record for.

### Output fields

| Row type | Highlights |
|---|---|
| `entity_filing` | docNumber, name, entityType, addresses, filedDate, feiNumber, registeredAgent, officers\[], annualReports |
| `dba_filing` | name, county, address, owners\[] (name + address), filedDate, expirationDate |
| `entity_event` | docNumber, event, effectiveDate, name, address |
| `entity_result` | name, docNumber, status, detailUrl |
| `entity_profile` | officers\[], registeredAgent, status, events, annualReports |

### Notes

- **No login, no key** — Florida publishes these files publicly (official state data download).
- Files only exist for business days; weekends/holidays have no file (actor reports empty, not error).
- `events` files occasionally lag a day — try the previous business day.
- Officer data reflects the formation filing — use `lookup` for current registry state.
