## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Jobs Search Results

Give job searches and get the jobs that Google Jobs shows for each one. Google Jobs gathers postings from company career sites and job boards, so one search covers many boards. The data comes from the DataForSEO SERP API.

### Input

- Job searches: up to 20, for example `data engineer`.
- Country: one of 18 countries (US by default).
- City or region: optional, in Google's form, for example `New York,New York` or `London,England`.
- Jobs per search: 10 to 100. The default is 20.
- Employment types: optional, full time, part time, contractor or internship.

### Output

One row per job:

| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| query, location_searched | What you asked for |
| rank | The job's place in the Google Jobs results |
| title, company, company_url, company_logo | The job and the employer |
| location | Where the job is |
| posted, posted_ago | When it was posted |
| salary, contract_type | Pay and type, where the posting shows them |
| source, url | The job board or career site and the link to the posting |
| google_job_id | Google's id for the job |

A search that Google Jobs does not accept (often an unknown city) gets one `invalid_input` row and is not charged. A provider error gets one `provider_error` row and is not charged.

### Price

One `job` event for each job row, at the price shown on this page. You pay only for jobs that come back: a search that returns no jobs (a `no_jobs` row) or does not finish in time (a `not_ready` row) is free. The run asks for no more jobs than its spending limit can pay for, and stops when the limit is reached.

### Limits

- Each search takes about 20 to 90 seconds, because Google Jobs results are prepared as a task.
- Google Jobs shows what Google has indexed; a posting may already be closed on its source site.
