## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Jobs API: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters

Get every open job from a company's own career site in one clean format. Give it a **domain**, a **careers page**, a **job board URL** or a **board name**; it finds which applicant tracking system (ATS) the company uses and returns structured jobs.

**$1.00 per 1,000 jobs. Companies with no supported board cost nothing.**

### What you can do with it

- **Sales and recruiting signals:** see who is hiring for roles that need your product (e.g. companies hiring "RevOps" or "data engineer").
- **Job boards and newsletters:** pull fresh postings straight from the source, with apply links.
- **Market research:** track hiring by department, location or remote share across a list of companies.

### Input

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Companies | `stripe.com`, `https://ramp.com/careers`, `boards.greenhouse.io/figma`, `lever:netflix` |
| Title keywords | `engineer`, `sales` |
| Locations | `London`, `Remote` |
| Remote only | on / off |
| Posted within (days) | `7` |
| Include description | on / off |

### Output (one row per job)

`company`, `ats`, `title`, `department`, `location`, `remote`, `employmentType`, `postedAt`, `salary` (where the employer publishes it), `url` (apply link), `description` (plain text).
Companies where no board is found return one free row with `status: not_found` and the reason, so you always know what happened.

```json
{
  "company": "stripe", "ats": "greenhouse", "title": "Account Executive, Enterprise",
  "department": "Sales", "location": "London", "remote": false,
  "postedAt": "2026-10-14T09:12:00.000Z", "url": "https://stripe.com/jobs/listing/...",
  "status": "ok"
}
```

### How it finds the board

1. Reads the company's career pages for embedded Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or SmartRecruiters links.
2. If none, tries the company name on each provider.
3. You can always skip detection with `provider:board`, e.g. `ashby:ramp`.

If a company is found but has no open jobs, or none match your filters, you get one free row saying so.

### Limits and data

- Uses each provider's **public job board API**: no login, no proxies, no personal data (job postings only).
- Companies on other systems (Workday, Workable, iCIMS, Taleo and in-house sites) are reported as `not_found` and are not charged.
- Up to 500 companies per run and 5,000 jobs per company.
