## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse Jobs Scraper: pay ranges, departments, offices & application questions

Get **every open job from any Greenhouse job board** (`boards.greenhouse.io` / `job-boards.greenhouse.io`) with the details other scrapers leave out:

- 💰 **All pay ranges.** Every pay-transparency range a job publishes (e.g. per US zone or country), plus normalized `salaryMin` / `salaryMax` / `salaryCurrency`.
- 🏢 **Departments & offices with hierarchy.** "Engineering > Backend" and "EMEA > London" are both kept, so you can filter on either level.
- 🧾 **Custom fields.** The company's own Greenhouse metadata fields (e.g. job category, team, level) as a simple `metadata` object.
- 📝 **Application questions (optional).** Each job's application form: label, required, field type and options. Useful for application tools and research.
- 🔎 **Filters.** Departments, offices, title keywords (include/exclude), location text, remote-only, posted within N days.
- 🔔 **"Only new jobs" mode.** Schedule daily and get only fresh postings; you only pay for new jobs.
- 🌐 **Paste URLs, board names or company websites.** `figma.com` works too: the board is found automatically.

It uses Greenhouse's public Job Board API, the official feed companies use to publish their openings. No browser, proxies or logins, so runs are fast and reliable.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `boards` | `https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb`, `airbnb`, or `figma.com` |
| `departments` | e.g. `Engineering`, `Sales` (partial match, includes parents) |
| `offices` | e.g. `New York`, `EMEA`, `Remote` (partial match, includes parents) |
| `titleKeywords` / `excludeTitleKeywords` | Whole-word match on job titles |
| `locationKeywords`, `remoteOnly`, `postedWithinDays` | Extra filters |
| `includeDescription` | Full description as text and HTML (default on) |
| `includeQuestions` | Application form questions (one extra request per job) |
| `onlyNewJobs` + `stateKey` | Output only jobs not seen in earlier runs |
| `maxJobsPerBoard` | Cap per board (0 = no limit) |

```json
{
  "boards": ["https://boards.greenhouse.io/databricks", "figma.com"],
  "departments": ["Engineering"],
  "offices": ["United States"],
  "onlyNewJobs": true
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "companyName": "Databricks",
  "jobId": "8735569002",
  "title": "Delivery Solutions Architect - Communications, Media, Entertainment & Games",
  "department": "Delivery Solutions Architects",
  "departments": ["Delivery Solutions Architects", "Field Engineering"],
  "offices": ["Remote - California", "California"],
  "location": "United States",
  "isRemote": true,
  "salaryMin": 180000,
  "salaryMax": 247500,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryPeriod": "YEAR",
  "salaryText": "180,000 – 247,500 USD (Local Pay Range)",
  "payRanges": [{ "title": "Local Pay Range", "min": 180000, "max": 247500, "currency": "USD" }],
  "metadata": { "Career Page Posting Category": ["Field Engineering"] },
  "internalJobId": "6492779002",
  "requisitionId": "CSQ427R309",
  "postedAt": "2026-08-21T02:29:17.000Z",
  "updatedAt": "2026-10-06T10:55:17.000Z",
  "url": "https://databricks.com/company/careers/open-positions/job?gh_jid=8735569002",
  "descriptionText": "…",
  "boardToken": "databricks"
}
```

With `includeQuestions` on, each job also has `applicationQuestions` and `locationQuestions`, e.g. `{ "label": "Are you legally authorized to work in the US?", "required": true, "type": "multi_value_single_select", "options": ["Yes", "No"] }`.

### Pricing

**$1.00 per 1,000 jobs**, plus a negligible $0.00005 per run. Platform usage is included.

### Notes

- Salaries appear when the company publishes them, which is common for US roles because of pay-transparency laws.
- Department and office names are each company's own, so check one run's output to see the exact names.
- Need Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, SmartRecruiters and others too? Use **Career Page Jobs Scraper** by the same author.
