## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper: every job from any myworkdayjobs.com careers site

Scrape **all open jobs from any Workday careers site** (`*.myworkdayjobs.com`), the platform behind the careers pages of thousands of large employers. You get clean, structured data with **salary ranges**, **full descriptions**, **exact posting dates** and **remote/hybrid info**.

### Why this one

- 🚀 **Gets past Workday's 2,000-job limit.** Workday's own search stops at 2,000 results. This scraper automatically splits large sites by job category or location and merges the results, so you get *every* job (e.g. all ~2,700 at NVIDIA).
- 🔎 **Workday-native filters.** Keyword search plus **location** and **job category** filters, matched against the site's own filter values ("United States", "Remote", "Engineering"…). The filtering happens on Workday's side, so runs are fast and you only pay for matching jobs.
- 💰 **Salary extraction.** Pay ranges are pulled from job descriptions into `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency` and `salaryPeriod`. Coverage is often 90%+ for US roles.
- 🔔 **"Only new jobs" mode.** Schedule it daily and get only jobs you haven't seen before.
- ✅ **Reliable.** Uses the same JSON feed the careers site itself loads. No browser, no proxies, no logins.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `startUrls` | Workday careers-site URLs, e.g. `https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/External_Career_Site`. Any job link from the site also works. |
| `searchText` | Workday keyword search, e.g. `data engineer`. |
| `locations` | Site location values to keep, e.g. `United States`, `Remote`, `London` (partial match). |
| `categories` | Job category / job family values, e.g. `Engineering`, `Sales`. |
| `titleKeywords` / `excludeTitleKeywords` | Whole-word include/exclude on the job title. |
| `remoteOnly`, `postedWithinDays` | Extra filters. |
| `onlyNewJobs` + `stateKey` | Output only jobs not seen in earlier runs. |
| `includeDescription` | Fetch each job's page for the description, exact date, country, remote type and salary (default on). |
| `maxJobsPerSite` | Cap per site (0 = no limit). |

```json
{
  "startUrls": ["https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite"],
  "searchText": "engineer",
  "locations": ["United States"],
  "categories": ["Engineering"],
  "onlyNewJobs": true
}
```

**How do I find the URL?** Open the company's careers page, click any job, and check the address bar. If it contains `myworkdayjobs.com`, copy everything up to and including the site name (the part after the domain, e.g. `/External_Career_Site`).

### Output

```json
{
  "companyName": "Salesforce, Inc.",
  "jobId": "JR361861",
  "title": "Software Engineer (MTS), Frontier Strike (EntSecTech)",
  "location": "Washington - Bellevue",
  "locations": ["Washington - Bellevue"],
  "country": "United States of America",
  "workplaceType": "Office Tech-Flexible",
  "employmentType": "Full time",
  "salaryMin": 117200,
  "salaryMax": 176700,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryPeriod": "YEAR",
  "salaryText": "$117,200 - $176,700",
  "postedAt": "2026-10-08T00:00:00.000Z",
  "url": "https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/External_Career_Site/job/…",
  "descriptionText": "…",
  "careerSiteUrl": "https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/External_Career_Site",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-08T19:12:00.185Z"
}
```

Export as JSON, CSV, Excel, or use the API and integrations (Google Sheets, Slack, webhooks, Zapier, Make).

The `SUMMARY` record in the run's key-value store shows jobs per site and the exact Workday filters that were applied.

### Pricing

**$1.00 per 1,000 jobs**, plus a negligible $0.00005 per run. Platform usage is included.

### Notes

- With `includeDescription` off, `postedAt` is approximate (from Workday's "Posted 3 days ago" labels) and salary, country and remote fields are mostly empty.
- Location and category names are matched against each site's own values, which differ between companies. If nothing matches, that filter is skipped for that site and the run log says so.
- Need other platforms (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Personio…)? See **Career Page Jobs Scraper** by the same author.

### Feedback

Found a Workday site that doesn't work? Open an issue on the **Issues** tab with the URL. Requests are usually handled within a few days.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

One or more Workday careers sites, e.g. https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/External_Career_Site. Any job link from the site works too.

## `searchText` (type: `string`):

Workday's own keyword search, e.g. "data engineer". Leave empty for all jobs.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Filter by the site's location values, e.g. "United States", "Remote", "London". Partial, case-insensitive match against the site's own location list.

## `categories` (type: `array`):

Filter by the site's job category / job family, e.g. "Engineering", "Sales".

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Whole-word match on the job title, e.g. "manager", "python".

## `excludeTitleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these, e.g. "intern", "senior".

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs marked remote.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

0 = any time.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Output only jobs not returned by an earlier run with the same 'History name'. Ideal for scheduled alerts: you only pay for new jobs.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Used with 'Only new jobs'. Use a different name for each watch-list.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Fetches each job's page for the description, exact posting date, country, remote type and salary. Turn off for a faster, lighter list.

## `maxJobsPerSite` (type: `integer`):

0 = no limit.
