## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Threads Profile Scraper: Posts, Replies & Likes

Scrape the recent public posts and replies of any Threads (Meta) profile by @username or profile URL. You get the text, likes, photos and videos, shared links, quotes and reposts, plus the profile's follower count and bio. No login, no cookies. Export to JSON, CSV or Excel, call it from the API, or schedule it.

### What you get per result

- The post: text, link to the post, date and time, likes
- Type: `post`, `reply` or `repost`, and the position inside a multi-post thread
- Media: type (`text`, `image`, `video`, `carousel`) with image and video URLs
- Shared link (title and address), quoted post and reposted post
- For replies: who and what the profile replied to
- The profile: name, @username, user id, verified badge, follower count (as shown by Threads and as a number) and bio

### How to use

1. Add one or more profiles as `@username` or a `threads.com/@username` URL.
2. Choose how many posts you want (and whether to include replies or reposts).
3. Press Start, then download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Profiles | `@username` or profile URL, one per line |
| Maximum posts | Stop after this many posts in total |
| Maximum posts per profile | Cap per profile (default 50) |
| Include replies | Also return the profile's recent replies (off by default) |
| Include reposts | Keep reposts in the results (on by default) |

### Output example

```json
{
  "id": "4006434140014576097",
  "url": "https://www.threads.com/@zuck/post/DeZtp-TkQHh",
  "text": "Introducing Muse Wonder, our new family of frontier models ...",
  "createdAt": "2026-10-10T14:23:09.000Z",
  "likeCount": 2118,
  "type": "post",
  "mediaType": "image",
  "imageUrls": ["https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/..."],
  "authorUsername": "zuck",
  "authorName": "Mark Zuckerberg",
  "authorFollowers": 5800000,
  "authorFollowersText": "5.8M",
  "authorBio": "Mostly superintelligence and MMA takes."
}
```

### Pricing

You pay per post returned. Profiles that cannot be read (private, not found) are not charged and are listed in the run's `FAILED_PROFILES` record. You can set a maximum spend on the run and the actor stops cleanly when it is reached.

### Notes

- Works on **public** profiles only.
- Without a login, Threads shows about the 25 most recent threads of a profile (often 40 to 50 posts including multi-post threads) and the same again for replies. Older posts are not available without an account.
- Like counts are the numbers Threads shows publicly. Follower counts are rounded by Threads (for example "5.8M"), so the original text is kept next to the number.
- Keyword and hashtag search needs a Threads login and is not part of this actor.
- Use the data in line with Threads' terms and the laws that apply to you.

# Actor input Schema

## `profiles` (type: `array`):

Threads profiles as @username or profile URL, one per line. For example @zuck or https://www.threads.com/@zuck.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many posts in total across all profiles.

## `maxItemsPerProfile` (type: `integer`):

Cap how many posts to take from each profile. Without a login Threads shows about the 25 most recent threads (often 40 to 50 posts) per profile, and the same again for replies.

## `includeReplies` (type: `boolean`):

Also return the profile's recent replies to other people, with the post they replied to. Off by default.

## `includeReposts` (type: `boolean`):

Keep reposts in the results. Turn off to return only the profile's own posts.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "profiles": [
    "@zuck"
  ],
  "maxItems": 100,
  "maxItemsPerProfile": 50,
  "includeReplies": false,
  "includeReposts": true
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `posts` (type: `string`):

One row per post. Download as JSON, CSV or Excel.

    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});

// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "profiles": [
        "@zuck"
    ]
};

// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("buy-it/threads-profile-scraper").call(input);

// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
