## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Seller Reputation: Online Store Trust Score for AI Shopping Agents

**Should my agent pay this store?** Give a store domain or any URL and get one short JSON: a **0-100 trust score**, a **risk level** (low / medium / high), an **advice** (`ok_to_buy`, `verify_before_paying`, `do_not_pay`), **red flags** and the **reasons** behind the score.

Signals are read live from free public sources: domain age and registrar (RDAP), HTTPS certificate, email authentication (MX, SPF, DMARC), return/refund policy, contact page and phone/address on the home page (only when robots.txt allows), e-commerce platform, Tranco popularity rank, active phishing lists (Phishing.Database), brand-impersonation and risky-TLD patterns, extreme-discount and irreversible-payment wording. Deterministic rules, no LLM.

### Use cases

- A checkout agent checks an unknown merchant before paying.
- A marketplace or affiliate network screens new stores.
- A fraud or support team triages "is this shop legit?" questions.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `domains` | Store domains or URLs (`allbirds.com`, `https://shop.example.com/products/x`). One charged check each. |
| `queries` | Advanced: `[{"endpoint": "seller_reputation", "params": {"domain": "rothys.com"}}]` |
| `maxQueries` | Safety cap on checks per run (default 1000). |

### Output (example)

```json
{"domain": "rothys.com", "score": 84, "risk": "low", "advice": "ok_to_buy", "red_flags": [], "reasons": ["domain_age_14y", "return_policy_found", "..."]}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.02 per store checked** (successful result only). Invalid input, unresolvable domains and errors are **never charged**.

### Limits (honest)

- Public technical signals only, **no customer reviews** (Trustpilot/BBB require an account or forbid collection).
- If the home page is blocked by robots.txt or by the site, it is not read: reported as `homepage_blocks_bots`, never bypassed.
- Indicative score, not a guarantee: a young store is not necessarily a scam. Not legal or financial advice.
