## Pricing

from $1.80 / 1,000 profiles

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Facebook Profile Scraper

Collect public **Facebook person profiles**: no login, no cookies, no browser.

For each profile you get the name, profile and cover photo, **work and education**, and for creators and public figures the full About: **job titles with dates, schools with years, current city, hometown, relationship, family, gender, birthday, languages, contact details, websites and social links**, followers and following.

Start from what you have, in any mix, in one run:

- **Profile links**: `facebook.com/name`, `profile.php?id=…` and `facebook.com/people/…` links.
- **Usernames or ids**: `zuck`, `@zuck` or a numeric profile id.
- **Name search**: find people by name, such as `John Smith`, optionally in one city.

The same profile given twice in one run is saved and charged only once.

### How to use it

1. Add **profile links** (or usernames and ids), and/or **names to search for**.
2. For searches, set how many profiles you want per name.
3. Click **Start**. Profiles appear in the **Profiles** tab as they are read and can be exported to JSON, CSV, Excel or via the API.

### Example input

```json
{
    "startUrls": ["https://www.facebook.com/zuck", "rizwan.mehmood.116"],
    "searchQueries": ["John Smith"],
    "maxResultsPerQuery": 20
}
```

### Two kinds of profile

Facebook shows logged-out visitors different amounts depending on the profile:

| `profileType` | Who | What Facebook shows publicly |
|---|---|---|
| `personal` | Ordinary people | Name, photos and the intro card: workplace and schools |
| `professional` | Creators, public figures, people in professional mode | The full About: work with titles and dates, education, places, relationship, family, gender, birthday, languages, contact details, links, followers |

Fields a profile does not show publicly are left empty. Nothing is guessed or filled with placeholder text.

### Output

One row per profile:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| name, username, profileId | Mark Zuckerberg, zuck, 4 |
| url | https://www.facebook.com/zuck |
| profileType | professional |
| work | \[{"text": "Founder and CEO at Meta", "dates": "February 4, 2004 - Present"}] |
| education | \[{"text": "Studied Computer Science and Psychology at Harvard University", "type": "college", "dates": "August 30, 2002 - April 30, 2004"}] |
| currentCity, hometown | Palo Alto, California, Dobbs Ferry, New York |
| relationship, relationshipSince | Married to Priscilla Chan, May 19, 2012 |
| family | \[{"name": "…", "relation": "Brother"}] |
| gender, birthday, birthYear, languages | Male, May 14, 1984, English and Mandarin Chinese |
| about, favoriteQuotes, otherNames | the profile's own texts |
| category | Public figure |
| phone, email, websites, socialLinks, address | public contact details |
| followers, following, verified | 121000000, null, true |
| profileCreated | February 11, 2004 |
| profilePictureUrl, coverPhotoUrl | photo links |
| sourceType, searchQuery, inputUrl | where the profile came from |
| unavailable | parts Facebook did not answer during this run (normally empty) |

### Good to know

- **Public data only.** Friends lists, private posts and anything a profile hides from logged-out visitors cannot be collected.
- **Ordinary profiles show little publicly**: usually only a workplace and schools, and many people hide those too. Such rows are still complete for what is public.
- Dates are written the way Facebook shows them, so the format can vary between runs.
- Links that are not a profile (removed, mistyped, private) are listed in the log and are not charged.

### Pricing

You pay per profile saved, the same price for both kinds. Links that are not found and profiles found twice in one run are not charged. On the free Apify plan, each run collects up to 10 profile links and 2 name searches of up to 10 profiles each, so you can try every option.

### Other Facebook scrapers

Pages, Posts, Comments, Reviews, Groups, Followers, Events, Search and the Ads Library are covered by our other Facebook Actors, with the same output style.
