## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Discogs

Collect music catalog records, artist discographies, public collections and marketplace listings from Discogs. Use individual IDs, Discogs URLs, usernames or a mixed list of queries.

### Features

- Artist profiles, members and releases.
- Release and master details, tracklists, credits, genres, formats and versions.
- Record labels and their releases.
- Public user profiles, inventories, collection folders and collection items.
- Search suggestions for artists, releases, masters and labels.
- Marketplace listings, seller information, condition, shipping, prices and available release statistics.
- Marketplace filters for format, condition, shipping country and currency, plus currency conversion.
- Paginated lists and multiple queries in one run.

### Quick start

Select **Get → Artist**, enter `855971`, and run the Actor to retrieve Philharmonia Hungarica's profile. Choose **Artist releases** to collect their discography instead.

```json
{
  "process": "get",
  "category": "artistReleases",
  "ids": ["855971"],
  "maximum": 100,
  "proxy": { "useApifyProxy": false }
}
```

For mixed queries, use **Custom input**:

```json
{
  "myids": {
    "input": [
      { "id": "855971", "process": "get", "category": "artist" },
      { "id": "26647", "process": "get", "category": "masterVersions" },
      { "id": "jamescaton", "process": "get", "category": "collectionItemsByFolder" }
    ]
  }
}
```

Custom input overrides the regular ID list. **Maximum** limits results per query; **Maximum total results** limits the whole run.

### Available categories

| Process | Categories |
| --- | --- |
| Get | `artist`, `artistReleases`, `release`, `master`, `masterVersions`, `label`, `labelReleases`, `profile`, `inventory`, `listing`, `collectionFolders`, `collectionFolder`, `collectionItemsByFolder` |
| Search | `artist`, `release`, `master`, `label`, `all` |
| Sell | `release` (release ID), `list` (search term or barcode) |

Sell reads marketplace information; it does not create or modify listings. Collection queries read public folders and the all-items folder. Private records require access that this Actor does not provide.

### Results

Each result identifies its `keyword`, `process` and `category`, with the source fields in `data`. List results contain one record per row while retaining their familiar array or object structure. For example, a master-version result uses `data.versions`, and a marketplace result uses `data.prices` with available statistics.

Export results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or use them in Apify integrations and API workflows.

Website search and marketplace access depend on Discogs verification. If those requests are blocked, try a suitable proxy and, for marketplace requests, your own Discogs cookie. Availability, shipping and market statistics can vary by location.
