## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Jobs Scraper: Greenhouse, Lever & Ashby Job Boards

Get **every open job of any company** straight from its careers page. Paste company names or careers links and get one clean row per job: **title, department, team, location, remote / hybrid / on-site, employment type, salary range, posted date, job link and apply link**.

It reads the official public job-board feeds of **Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby**, the hiring systems used by most tech and fast-growing companies (Stripe, Airbnb, OpenAI, Palantir, Notion, Ramp and thousands more). No login, no API key, no blocking issues.

### Who uses this

- **Sales teams and agencies**: hiring is a buying signal. A company hiring 10 sales reps needs sales tools, recruiting help and training. Track which of your target accounts are hiring, and for what.
- **Recruiters and staffing agencies**: see every new opening at the companies you place candidates with, the day it is posted.
- **Job boards and job alert tools**: fill your site with fresh jobs directly from the source, including salary where the company publishes it.
- **Investors and analysts**: watch hiring at portfolio and competitor companies by department.

### How to use

1. Paste companies, one per line: `stripe`, `openai`, or a careers link like `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`.
2. Optional: filter by job title words, location, workplace type, department or posting date.
3. Click **Start**, then export to CSV, Excel or JSON, or send the jobs to Google Sheets, Slack, Make, Zapier or n8n.

Run it on a **schedule** (for example every morning with "Posted in the last 1 days") to get only new jobs.

```json
{
    "companies": ["stripe", "airbnb", "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir", "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai"],
    "titleKeywords": ["sales", "account executive"],
    "locations": ["United States", "Remote"],
    "postedWithinDays": 7
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
    "ats": "ashby",
    "company": "Openai",
    "companySlug": "openai",
    "jobId": "a1b2c3",
    "title": "Account Director, Strategics",
    "department": "Go To Market",
    "team": "Sales",
    "location": "San Francisco",
    "locations": ["San Francisco", "New York City"],
    "workplaceType": "hybrid",
    "employmentType": "Full-time",
    "salaryMin": 257000,
    "salaryMax": 335000,
    "salaryCurrency": "USD",
    "salaryInterval": "year",
    "salaryText": "$257K - $335K",
    "postedAt": "2026-10-05T00:00:00.000Z",
    "jobUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/a1b2c3",
    "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/a1b2c3/application",
    "description": "About the team...",
    "companyOpenJobs": 814,
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-17T10:00:00.000Z"
}
```

The run also saves a **hiring overview** (`COMPANIES` record): one line per company with the job board found and its number of open jobs, biggest hirers first.

### Good to know

- **Company names**: for a plain name the Actor checks Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby. Most companies use their name (`stripe`, `notion`), but some boards use another name. If a company is "not found", open its careers page and paste the link instead. Companies that are not found are free.
- **Salary**: taken from the job board when the company publishes it (common for US jobs on Ashby and Lever), otherwise read from the description text when it states a range.
- **Company name**: Greenhouse gives the official name. For Lever and Ashby it is made from the board name (`scale-ai` becomes "Scale Ai").
- **Other hiring systems** (Workday, SmartRecruiters, iCIMS...) are not covered yet.

### Pricing

- **Job**: charged per job returned (after your filters). Companies without a board, and jobs skipped by your filters, are free.
- Set a **maximum cost per run** or **Max jobs in total** to cap any run.

### Responsible use

The Actor reads only the public job-board feeds that companies publish for job seekers and job sites. Use the data in line with the job boards' terms and the privacy rules that apply to you.
