# Company Hiring Signals: Tech Stack & Buying Intent (`cape-data-labs/company-hiring-signals`) Actor

Turn any company's open jobs into sales intelligence: which teams are hiring, how fast, where, which tools their job ads mention (Salesforce, Snowflake, AWS…), salary bands, leadership hires and plain-English buying signals. Track changes week to week.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Company Hiring Signals: Tech Stack, Hiring Velocity & Buying Intent

**A company's job ads say more about its plans than its press releases.** This Actor reads every open role on a company's own careers page and turns it into one row of sales and market intelligence:

- 📈 **Hiring velocity:** open roles, roles posted in the last 7 and 30 days, and (with tracking on) new and closed roles since your last run.
- 🧩 **Which teams are growing:** open roles by function (Engineering, Sales, Data & AI, Security, Finance, Customer Success…), seniority and workplace type.
- 🛠️ **Tech stack from job ads:** tools the company names in its job descriptions, grouped by category: CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot), data (Snowflake, Databricks, dbt), cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), finance (NetSuite, SAP), support (Zendesk), security, AI and more, with how many roles mention each.
- 💰 **Salary bands:** median and range of published salaries.
- 🌍 **Where they hire:** countries and top locations.
- 🔔 **Plain-English signals**, ready for your CRM or outreach: *"Heavy Sales hiring: 64 open roles (37% of openings)"*, *"6 leadership roles open…"*, *"Data stack mentioned in job ads: Snowflake, dbt, Looker"*.

### Who it's for

- **B2B sales and SDR teams:** find accounts in buying mode. A company hiring 10 data engineers and mentioning Snowflake is a prospect for data tooling; a new VP of Sales means a sales-stack refresh is coming.
- **RevOps and growth:** enrich CRM accounts with hiring and technographic fields, and trigger outreach when hiring spikes.
- **Investors and analysts:** track headcount momentum and expansion into new countries across a portfolio or watchlist.
- **Recruiters and agencies:** spot companies scaling a team before the roles are everywhere.
- **AI agents:** one call answers "what is this company investing in right now?"

### How to use it

1. Add companies, one per line: a name (`Notion`), a domain (`stripe.com`), a careers-page URL (`https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`) or a `platform:board` pair (`ashby:ramp`).
2. Turn on **Track changes between runs** and schedule it weekly to get hiring-velocity alerts.
3. Export to CSV or Excel, push to your CRM via Zapier, Make or n8n, or call it from the API.

### Pricing

You pay a small fee per company analysed. Companies where no public job board is found are free. One row can summarise hundreds of job ads, so it's far cheaper than pulling and analysing every job yourself.

### Supported careers platforms

Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Recruitee, Personio and Breezy HR, the hiring platforms behind tens of thousands of tech and growth companies. Need the individual jobs rather than a summary? Use our **Company Career Pages Jobs API** Actor.

### Notes

- Data comes only from the public job-board feeds companies publish for their own careers pages. No logins and no personal data.
- The tech stack reflects tools named in job ads. It's a strong indicator, not a guaranteed inventory.
- Companies not on a supported platform are listed in the run's `OUTPUT` record and aren't charged.
