## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## 🦘 SEEK Jobs Scraper - Australia & NZ, Full Ads + Contacts

**Scrape SEEK (seek.com.au and seek.co.nz) job listings with the full ad and the contact details written in it.**
Search by keyword and location with SEEK's own filters: classification (industry), work type, remote / hybrid / on-site,
date listed and minimum salary. One row per job: title, company, advertiser, location and area, work type, work
arrangement, classification and sub-classification, salary text, listed date, teaser, bullet points, job URL, company
profile, plus the **full description**, the **contact email and phone** listed in the ad, expiry date, external-apply
flag and advertiser verification. No login, no cookies.

What we add on top of SEEK's data:

- **Parsed salary**: min / max / period (hour, day, week, month, year) and an **annualized range** (`$49-$57 per hour` → 96,824-112,632), so hourly contracts and salaried roles sort together. `plusSuper` tells you when super / KiwiSaver is on top.
- **Recruitment-agency flag** (`isRecruitmentAgency`): from the advertiser's name and the ad's wording ("our client is..."). Use `excludeRecruitmentAgencies` to keep direct employers only.
- **Department**, **seniority class** and **tech stack mentioned** in the ad (languages, cloud, data, AI, CRM, ERP...).
- **No 550-result ceiling**: SEEK stops paging at ~550 jobs per search. Bigger requests are split by classification and state / region automatically and merged without duplicates (up to 5,000 per search).
- `onlyWithContacts`: keep only ads that list an email or phone (it searches deeper to fill your `maxJobs`).

### 📥 Input

| Field | Meaning |

```json
{ "keywords": ["electrician"], "country": "AU", "locations": ["Brisbane QLD"], "datePosted": "week", "maxJobs": 200 }
- **B2B sales**: who is hiring for what (department, tech stack) = who is about to buy tools and services.
- **Salary benchmarking**: annualized ranges across hourly, daily and salaried ads.
- **Job boards and alerts**: run it on a schedule with `datePosted: "today"`.
### 💰 Pricing
Pay per job returned (`job` event), full ad and contacts included. Empty searches and filtered-out jobs are free.
### ❓ FAQ
- **Login needed?** No. It reads SEEK's public job search and public job ads.
- **Where do the contacts come from?** Only from what the advertiser wrote in the ad (SEEK marks them). No candidate or personal profile data.
- **How many jobs?** Up to 5,000 per keyword x location; past ~550 the search is split automatically.
