## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Job Board Scraper – Greenhouse, Lever & Ashby

Get every open job from company career pages that run on **Greenhouse**, **Lever** or **Ashby** – in one run, in one clean table.

Instead of scraping job sites like LinkedIn or Indeed, this tool reads the public job board feeds that Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby publish so companies can show their jobs on their own websites. That makes runs fast and dependable: no browser, no login, no fragile page parsing.

### What you get

For each open job:

- Job title, ID and the public posting / apply link
- Location, department and team
- Employment type (Full-time, Contract, …) and workplace type (remote / hybrid / on-site) where the platform provides it
- Salary range and currency **where the company publishes one**
- The full job description as HTML and as plain text
- When the job was posted (or last updated)

You can give a plain company name as used in the board address (e.g. `stripe`) or paste a career page link. The tool works out which platform the company uses automatically.

### Price

**$0.002 per job returned** – that is $2 per 1,000 jobs. You only pay for jobs that are saved to your results; filtered-out jobs are not charged. Use **Max jobs** to cap your spend.

### Typical uses

- Track hiring at competitors, customers or target accounts
- Build a niche job board or job alert feed
- Research salary ranges and hiring trends by role or location
- Sales prospecting: find companies hiring for roles your product supports

### Inputs

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Companies** (required) | List of company board names or career page links. Examples: `stripe`, `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/discord`, `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp`. |
| **ATS platform** | `auto` (default) detects the platform from the link; for a plain name it tries Greenhouse, then Lever, then Ashby. Choose `greenhouse`, `lever` or `ashby` to query only that one. |
| **Title keywords** | Keep only jobs whose title contains any of these words (not case-sensitive). Empty = keep all. |
| **Location contains** | Keep only jobs whose location text contains this text, e.g. `Remote` or `London`. |
| **Department contains** | Keep only jobs whose department or team contains this text, e.g. `Engineering`. |
| **Include full description** | On by default. Turn off to get lighter results without the HTML and plain-text descriptions. |
| **Max jobs** | Maximum number of jobs saved across all companies (the form suggests 500; if the field is left out entirely, 50 is used). The run stops as soon as this number is reached. |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "companies": ["stripe", "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir", "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp"],
  "platform": "auto",
  "keywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "locationFilter": "",
  "departmentFilter": "",
  "includeDescription": true,
  "maxItems": 200
}
```

### Output

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `jobId` | Job identifier on the platform |
| `title` | Job title |
| `company` | Company board name you supplied |
| `platform` | `greenhouse`, `lever` or `ashby` |
| `jobUrl` | Public posting / apply link |
| `location` | Location text as published (several locations joined with `;`) |
| `department` | Department name |
| `team` | Team or sub-department |
| `employmentType` | e.g. Full-time, Contract |
| `workplaceType` | Remote / hybrid / on-site, where provided |
| `salaryMin` | Lower end of the published pay range |
| `salaryMax` | Upper end of the published pay range |
| `salaryCurrency` | Currency of the pay range, e.g. USD |
| `descriptionHtml` | Full job description as HTML |
| `descriptionText` | Full job description as plain text |
| `postedAt` | When the job was published or last updated (ISO date-time) |
| `scrapedAt` | When this record was collected (ISO date-time) |

Fields the company does not publish are left empty (`null`).

}
```
### Limits and good to know
- Only companies whose careers page runs on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby are covered. Custom-built career sites and other platforms (Workday, SmartRecruiters, …) are not.
- Salary appears only when the company chooses to publish a pay range. For Greenhouse boards, one extra small request is made per returned job to read the published pay range.
- Greenhouse does not provide a remote/hybrid/on-site field, so `workplaceType` is empty for Greenhouse jobs; check the location text instead.
- Lever boards hosted in the EU region are detected automatically.
- Only jobs that are publicly listed are returned. Internal or unlisted postings are not visible.
- If a platform refuses access or keeps asking the tool to slow down, the run logs the reason and stops rather than hammering the service. Jobs already collected are kept.
- Requests are made politely, a few at a time, with automatic retries for temporary errors.
### Terms
This tool reads job board feeds that Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby make public for displaying job postings. It does not collect recruiter or hiring-manager contact details. Job content belongs to the respective companies – you are responsible for using the data in line with applicable laws and the terms of the companies and platforms involved, especially if you republish it.
