## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse Jobs Scraper

Get every open job from any company that hosts its careers page on **Greenhouse**, such as Stripe, Airbnb, GitLab and thousands of other tech companies. Results come straight from the company's own job board, so you get original postings with no reposts or aggregator duplicates.

The tool reads Greenhouse's public Job Board API, the same data source companies use to embed job listings on their careers sites. It needs no browser and no login, so runs are fast and reliable.

### What you get

For each job:

- Job ID, title and link to the public posting
- Company name and board token
- Location shown on the posting
- Departments and offices
- Last updated date and first published date
- Requisition ID, when the company publishes one
- Custom fields the company publishes, such as workplace type
- Full job description as HTML and as clean plain text (optional)

### Price

**$0.002 per job saved** ($2 per 1,000 jobs). You pay only for jobs that appear in your results. Jobs removed by your filters are not charged.

### Typical uses

- Track hiring at competitors, customers or prospects
- Build a niche job board or a job alert feed
- Research hiring trends by department, location or seniority
- Feed sales tools with "company is hiring for X" signals

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Company board tokens or URLs** (`boardTokens`, required) | The companies to scrape. Enter the Greenhouse board token (for example `stripe`) or paste a board URL such as `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe` or `https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb`. The token is read from the URL automatically. Links to a company's own careers site, such as `stripe.com/jobs`, are not recognised. Use the Greenhouse token instead. |
| **Title keywords** (`keywords`) | Keep only jobs whose title contains any of these words. Case does not matter. Leave empty to keep all jobs. |
| **Location filter** (`locations`) | Keep only jobs whose location or office contains any of these strings, for example `Remote` or `London`. |
| **Department filter** (`departments`) | Keep only jobs in departments whose name contains any of these strings, for example `Engineering`. |
| **Updated within N days** (`postedWithinDays`) | Keep only jobs updated in the last N days. `0` means no limit. |
| **Include full description** (`includeDescription`) | When on (the default), each job includes its full description as HTML and plain text, plus departments and offices. Turn it off for smaller, faster results. With it off, departments and offices are still included if you use the location or department filter. |
| **Max jobs** (`maxItems`) | The most jobs to save in total, across all companies. The run stops as soon as this number is reached. The input form suggests 500. If you leave the field empty, the run stops at 50. |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "boardTokens": ["stripe", "https://boards.greenhouse.io/gitlab"],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "investigator"],
  "locations": ["Remote", "Dublin"],
  "departments": [],
  "postedWithinDays": 30,
  "includeDescription": true,
  "maxItems": 200
}
```

### Output

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `jobId` | Greenhouse job ID (number) |
| `title` | Job title |
| `boardToken` | Board token the job came from |
| `companyName` | Company name as given by the board |
| `location` | Location shown on the posting. If the posting has none, this falls back to the office names or `Not specified`. |
| `url` | Link to the public job posting |
| `updatedAt` | When the posting was last updated (ISO timestamp) |
| `firstPublished` | When the posting was first published, if provided |
| `requisitionId` | Company requisition ID, if provided |
| `departments` | List of department names |
| `offices` | List of offices, each with `name` and `location` |
| `metadata` | Custom fields the company publishes, as name/value pairs |
| `descriptionHtml` | Full description as HTML (only when descriptions are included) |
| `descriptionText` | Full description as plain text (only when descriptions are included) |
| `scrapedAt` | When the job was collected (ISO timestamp) |

#### Example result

```json
{
  "jobId": 8172510,
  "title": "Abuse Investigator",
  "boardToken": "stripe",
  "companyName": "Stripe",
  "location": "Seattle, San Francisco, New York City",
  "updatedAt": "2026-09-25T16:45:00-04:00",
  "firstPublished": "2026-09-09T10:50:29-04:00",
  "requisitionId": "See Opening ID",
  "departments": ["8611 Security Analytics"],
  "offices": [{"name": "US", "location": null}],
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-03T09:12:44.120000+00:00"
}
```

You can download results as JSON, CSV, Excel and other formats.

### Limits and good to know

- Works only for companies whose job board is hosted on Greenhouse. You need the board token, which is usually the last part of the board URL, for example `boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`.
- If a token does not exist, that company is skipped with a warning and the run continues.
- Only currently published jobs are available. Closed or internal-only jobs are not returned.
- Some fields, such as requisition ID, first published date and custom metadata, depend on what each company chooses to publish.
- Each job is saved once, even if it appears on more than one board you enter.
- The tool makes a small number of polite requests per company. If Greenhouse refuses access or keeps rate limiting, the run stops and logs a clear message instead of retrying forever.

### Terms

This tool reads only public job postings through Greenhouse's public Job Board API. It does not log in or collect personal data about applicants. You are responsible for using the data in line with Greenhouse's terms, the terms of each company's postings, and the laws that apply to you.
