## SEC EDGAR Company Filings Scraper

Fetch SEC EDGAR company profiles and recent filings (10-K, 8-K, 10-Q, Form 4 insider trades, 13F, etc.) for any US public company — from the official SEC public API.

### What it does

Given stock tickers or CIK numbers, returns:

- **Company profile**: name, tickers, exchanges, SIC code, fiscal year end, state of incorporation, registered address.
- **Recent filings**: form type, filing date, report date, primary document, direct filing URL on sec.gov.

### Why use it

- **Official source** — data comes straight from `data.sec.gov`, the SEC's public API. No third-party intermediaries.
- **No login, no API key** — public US government data.
- **Insider trades** — recent Form 4 filings reveal insider buy/sell activity.
- **Investors, researchers, analysts, fintech** — power financial dashboards, stock-tracking alerts, due-diligence, and market research.
