## Pricing

from $0.70 / 1,000 leads

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Local Business Leads Scraper — OSM, Phones, No-Website Filter

Local businesses for any city, district or radius, straight from **OpenStreetMap**: name, full address, coordinates, phone, website, opening hours and the category you asked for — as JSON, CSV or Excel, or through the API. No Google Maps key, no quota, no per-place billing from a third party.

Ask in plain words — `restaurants`, `dentists`, `plumbers`, `lawyers`, `gyms`, `hair salons`, `car repair`, `real estate` — for `Berlin, Germany`, `Austin, Texas`, a `lat,lon` point with a radius, or a bounding box. One request per place, whatever the number of categories.

**The filter that makes this a lead list:** *only businesses without a website*. In a test run over Berlin's 4,749 restaurants, 62% had no site of their own; over Tbilisi's dentists, 26 of 40 had none but a phone number. That is the list web agencies, POS vendors and local marketers buy.

### Why this Actor

- **The no-website list, in one checkbox.** Tick one filter and the run returns only businesses with a name, an address and no site of their own — 62% of Berlin's 4,749 restaurants in a test run. That is the list agencies and POS vendors actually pay for.
- **No Google Maps key and no per-place fee.** OpenStreetMap's own endpoints answer without an account, so the only cost is this Actor's row price.
- **One request per place.** Every category you ask for goes into a single query, so a city sweep across five categories is one call and a few seconds, not one call per category.
- **Plain words, not tag syntax.** `dentists`, `plumbers`, `hair salons` and 60 other categories map to the right OpenStreetMap tags for you — and raw tags still work when you need something exotic.

### Sample output

One item of the dataset (long values shortened):

```json
{
  "name": "შავი",
  "category": "cafes",
  "phone": "+995 32 293 36 33",
  "website": "https://shavi.coffee",
  "address": null,
  "city": null,
  "openingHours": "Mo-Su 08:00-21:00",
  "osmUrl": "https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/1573658031"
}
```

### What you get

- **A real lead row**: business name, street and house number, postcode, city, country, latitude and longitude, phone, website, email where the map has one, opening hours, brand, operator, cuisine and wheelchair access
- **`hasWebsite` and `hasPhone` as plain columns**, plus filters for both — the no-website list is one checkbox, not a spreadsheet exercise
- **60 ready categories** and raw OpenStreetMap tags for everything else (`shop=bakery`, `office=architect`, `craft=roofer`)
- **Three ways to say where**: a place name, a `lat,lon` point with a radius in kilometres, or a bounding box
- **A link back to the map** for every row, so a doubtful address can be checked in one click
- Data under the Open Database License — attribute OpenStreetMap contributors when you publish it

### Input example

```json
{
  "locations": [
    "Austin, Texas"
  ],
  "categories": [
    "dentists",
    "gyms"
  ],
  "onlyWithoutWebsite": false,
  "onlyWithPhone": false,
  "radiusKm": 5,
  "maxResultsPerLocation": 100
}
```

### How much does it cost?

Pay per lead — no subscription, no minimum, no charge for platform usage.

| Volume | Price |
|---|---|
| 1,000 leads | $1.00 |
| 10,000 leads | $10.00 |
| 100,000 leads | $100.00 |

The Apify **free plan includes $5 of usage every month** — about 5,000 leads with this Actor, no card needed. Nothing else is charged: platform usage is included in the price, and Apify Bronze, Silver and Gold subscribers get 10%, 20% and 30% off these prices.

### Use it from code, n8n, Make, Zapier or an AI agent

Run the Actor and download the dataset in one call (JSON by default; add `&format=csv` or `xlsx`):

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/chorelet~local-business-leads-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=$APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"locations": ["Austin, Texas"], "categories": ["dentists", "gyms"], "onlyWithoutWebsite": false, "onlyWithPhone": false, "radiusKm": 5, "maxResultsPerLocation": 100}'
```

Python:

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("chorelet/local-business-leads-scraper").call(run_input={"locations": ["Austin, Texas"], "categories": ["dentists", "gyms"], "onlyWithoutWebsite": false, "onlyWithPhone": false, "radiusKm": 5, "maxResultsPerLocation": 100})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item)
```

- **n8n, Make, Zapier** — use the Apify node/module: run the Actor, then "get dataset items".
- **Google Sheets, Slack, webhooks** — add an integration on the run's *Integrations* tab.
- **AI agents** — the Actor is available as a tool through the Apify MCP server; the dataset schema describes every field for the model.
- **Schedules** — run it hourly, daily or weekly from the *Schedules* tab.

### FAQ

**How is this different from a Google Maps scraper?**

It reads OpenStreetMap, which publishes its data openly, so there is no API key, no quota and no terms problem — and it can filter to businesses *without* a website, which Maps does not let you do. The trade-off is coverage: OSM is excellent for Europe and good for large cities elsewhere, and it has no reviews or star ratings.

**How complete is the data?**

It varies by place and category. In a Berlin restaurant sweep 99% had a name, 82% a street address, 78% opening hours and 38% a website. Sparse rural areas will return less. Every row links back to its map page so you can check.

**Can I search a whole country?**

Yes, but ask for one category at a time and raise the row cap — a country-wide query is heavy for the public endpoint, and the run may retry while it waits its turn.

**What if my city is not found?**

Use a `lat,lon` point with a radius, or a bounding box as `south,west,north,east`. The log says which place name was resolved, so a wrong match is visible immediately.

**Do I need to credit anyone?**

Yes, if you publish the data: it is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License. Internal lead lists and CRM imports need no notice.

**Can I get emails too?**

Only where the map itself carries one, which is rare. Run the `website` column through the Website Contacts Scraper to pull emails, phones and social profiles from the businesses that do have a site.

### Support

Questions, missing fields or a source that changed? Open an issue on the *Issues* tab or write to support@chorelet.app — problems are usually fixed within a day, and the Actor is checked every morning by an automated test run. If the Actor saved you time, a short review on its Store page helps other people find it.
