Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## UK Contract Awards & Winners (Find a Tender)

Find out **who is winning UK public sector contracts** — the winning company, whether it is an SME, where it is based, the contract value and the buyer — straight from the UK government's official **Find a Tender** service.

Filter by **keyword, CPV code, buyer, contract value, SME status and region**, and get a clean table you can export to Excel, CSV, JSON or Google Sheets, or call via API.

### What you can use it for

- **Competitor tracking for bid teams** – see which suppliers win contracts in your category, for which buyers and at what value.
- **Sales prospecting** – build lists of companies that sell to the public sector (e.g. SMEs winning IT, cleaning, transport or care contracts).
- **Market research** – how much is being spent in a sector or region, and by whom.
- **Partner and subcontractor search** – find SMEs that already hold contracts with NHS trusts, councils or central government.

### How it works

1. Choose a date range (e.g. the last 7 days, or any range back to 2021).
2. Optionally add filters: keywords (`software`, `cleaning`, `cyber`…), CPV code prefixes (`72` = IT services, `45` = construction), buyer name (`NHS`, `Council`), minimum/maximum value, SME winners only, winner region.
3. Run it. Each result is **one winning supplier on one contract award** (framework agreements with many suppliers produce one row per supplier).

The Actor reads the official Find a Tender OCDS API — no browser, no proxies, no logins — so runs are fast and cheap.

### Pricing

Pay per result: you are charged only for the contract-award rows you receive. You can cap the cost of any run with the maximum total charge setting — the Actor stops cleanly when the cap is reached.

### Good to know

- **Coverage:** notices published on Find a Tender (above-threshold procurement, and notices under the Procurement Act 2023 since February 2025). Low-value contracts that appear only on Contracts Finder are not included yet.
- **Company numbers and websites** are included when the buyer published them; not every notice has them.
- **Dates** filter on when the notice was published or last updated.
- **Privacy:** supplier contact-person names, emails and phone numbers are deliberately not included. Buyer emails are the procurement contacts that public bodies publish for suppliers.
