## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Agency Vista Lead Export API

Export normalized, CRM-ready agency rows from public Agency Vista list pages.

### What it does

This actor reads public Agency Vista list pages and their structured page-data payloads, then emits normalized agency records suitable for spreadsheets, CRM enrichment, lead research, and market mapping.

### What it returns

Each dataset row is normalized as `agency_profile` with fields such as:

- `agencyName`
- `profileUrl`
- `website`
- `description`
- `services`
- `locations`
- `rating`
- `reviewCount`
- `verified`
- `founded`
- `dedupeKey`
- `scrapedAt`

### Inputs

- `startUrls` — optional Agency Vista public list URLs. If omitted, the actor uses public list pages for SEO, PPC, and Toronto digital marketing agencies.
- `maxItems` — maximum rows to emit.
- `includeProfileDetails` — defaults to `false`. List/page-data rows are fast and already useful. Profile enrichment is best-effort, slower, and falls back to list rows if detail fetches fail or hit challenge pages.
- `profileTimeoutMs` — profile fetch timeout used only when profile details are enabled.
- `maxConsecutiveProfileBlocks` — aborts profile enrichment after repeated profile challenge/block/fetch-failure pages while preserving parsed list rows.

### Pricing

This actor uses pay-per-event pricing with one billable event per returned dataset row.

### Responsible use

This actor does not attempt to bypass logins, CAPTCHA, challenge pages, or access controls. Profile-detail enrichment is optional and best-effort. Customers are responsible for reviewing applicable source terms and for using exported data lawfully, including outreach, privacy, and anti-spam obligations.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Agency Vista list URLs. Defaults to three public list pages covering SEO, PPC, and Toronto digital marketing agencies.

## `serviceCategories` (type: `array`):

Optional labels used for downstream query metadata.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of agency rows to return from the selected list pages.

## `includeProfileDetails` (type: `boolean`):

When false, returns structured list/page-data rows only. Enable only when richer profile fields are needed; profile pages are slower than list pages.

## `profileTimeoutMs` (type: `integer`):

Timeout used only when Fetch profile details is enabled.

## `maxConsecutiveProfileBlocks` (type: `integer`):

Stops profile enrichment after this many consecutive challenged, blocked, or failed profile pages. Parsed list rows are still returned.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "maxItems": 100,
  "includeProfileDetails": false,
  "profileTimeoutMs": 60000,
  "maxConsecutiveProfileBlocks": 3
}
