## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Jobs API & Career Page Job Scraper: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters & Recruitee

**Job postings scraper, career page scraper and jobs API** for company career pages. Get **every open job from any company's career page** in one unified JSON/CSV/Excel format, with salary, location, remote flag and full job description. It covers the six most popular applicant tracking systems (ATS): **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters and Recruitee**.

Paste company slugs, careers-page URLs, or **just the company website** and the ATS is detected automatically. No login, no cookies, no proxies. The Actor reads the official public job-board feeds that companies publish for their own career pages, so it's fast, cheap and reliable.

### Why use it

- **One schema for 6 ATS.** Title, location(s), remote flag, department/team, employment type, salary (min/max/currency/text where published), posted date, job URL, apply URL and full description.
- **Auto-detection.** Give `notion.so` and the Actor finds the company's Greenhouse/Ashby/Lever/... board from its careers page. A bare slug (`huggingface`) is tried on every ATS.
- **Job alerts / monitoring.** Turn on *Only new jobs since last run*, schedule the Actor daily, and you only get (and pay for) jobs you haven't seen before.
- **Filters before you pay.** Title keywords, excluded keywords, locations, departments, remote only, posted within N days, max jobs per company.
- **Cheap.** Flat **$1.50 per 1,000 jobs**. Filtered-out jobs are free.

### Use cases

- **Job boards and job aggregators:** feed thousands of fresh postings a day straight from the source, without LinkedIn or Indeed scraping.
- **Recruiting and sourcing:** see who is hiring for *staff engineer*, *ML* or *account executive* right now.
- **Sales intelligence and buying-intent signals:** a company hiring SDRs, data engineers or SOC analysts is likely buying tools for them.
- **Labor-market and salary research:** structured salary ranges and locations across companies.
- **Competitor hiring tracking:** schedule a weekly run on your competitors' boards to see new teams and locations.
- **Personal job alerts:** get only new matching jobs every morning.

### Comparison

| | ATS Jobs API | LinkedIn / Indeed scrapers |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Official public ATS feeds | Scraped HTML behind anti-bot |
| Login, cookies or proxies | None | Often required |
| Blocks and captchas | No | Frequent |
| Full description and salary | ✅ | Partial |
| Price | $1.50 / 1,000 jobs, filtered jobs free | Usually higher, plus proxy costs |

### Input examples

```json
{
  "companies": ["boards.greenhouse.io/stripe", "jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai", "lever:palantir", "huggingface", "notion.so"],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "locations": ["United States", "Remote"],
  "postedWithinDays": 14,
  "onlyNewJobs": false
}
```

Accepted formats per line:
| Format | Example |
|---|---|
| Careers URL | `boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `job-boards.greenhouse.io/x`, `jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai`, `apply.workable.com/huggingface`, `jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup`, `bunq.recruitee.com` |
| ats:slug | `greenhouse:stripe`, `ashby:openai` |
| Bare slug | `huggingface` (tries all ATS) |
| Company website | `notion.so`, `https://www.notion.so` |

### Output example

```json
{
  "ats": "ashby", "company": "openai", "companySlug": "openai", "jobId": "240d459b-...",
  "title": "Research Engineer", "department": "Research", "team": "Research",
  "location": "San Francisco", "remote": false, "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "salaryText": "$250K – $445K • Offers Equity",
  "postedAt": "2025-04-05T00:03:20.653000+00:00",
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/240d459b-...", "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/240d459b-.../application",
  "description": "By applying to this role...", "input": "jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai", "scrapedAt": "2026-11-03T03:50:00+00:00"
}
```

A run summary (companies processed, boards found, slugs not found) is saved to the `SUMMARY` record of the default key-value store.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.0015 per job returned** (plus Apify's tiny run-start fee). Set *Max jobs per company* or a max total charge to cap spend. Jobs removed by your filters are not charged.

### Notes

- SmartRecruiters' list feed doesn't include descriptions; every other ATS does.
- Salary fields are filled only when the company publishes pay (common on Ashby, Lever, Recruitee).
- Only public job postings are collected. No personal data.

### Example: daily remote engineering job alert

```json
{
  "companies": ["notion.so", "greenhouse:stripe", "jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai", "greenhouse:airbnb", "lever:palantir"],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer"],
  "excludeTitleKeywords": ["intern"],
  "remoteOnly": true,
  "onlyNewJobs": true
}
```

Schedule it daily in **Apify Schedules**, and add a Slack or email integration so each run sends you only the new jobs.

### Integrations and API

Use it via API, schedule it, or connect it to Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make, n8n, Airtable or webhooks. It also works as a tool for AI agents through Apify MCP.

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/classier_wholemeal~ats-jobs-api/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"companies": ["notion.so", "lever:palantir"], "titleKeywords": ["data"]}'
```

### FAQ

**Which companies use these ATS?** Thousands of startups and tech companies, for example Stripe and Airbnb (Greenhouse), OpenAI and Notion (Ashby), Palantir (Lever), Hugging Face (Workable) and Bosch (SmartRecruiters).

**How do I find a company's ATS?** You don't need to. Give its website and the Actor detects it.

**Is this a Greenhouse API / Lever API alternative?** Yes. It wraps each ATS's public job-board API in one input and one output format, so you don't need a separate integration for each.

**Does it scrape LinkedIn or Indeed?** No. It reads the companies' own career-page feeds, which is more reliable and gives the original apply link.

**Is it legal?** It collects only job postings that companies publish publicly to attract applicants. No personal data is collected.

**What is an ATS?** An applicant tracking system such as Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby hosts a company's public career page. This Actor reads those official job-board feeds rather than scraping LinkedIn.
